you either have to make some mounts to raise it up off the frame and let it overlap the sides, or you have to cut your subframe off and have a flat subframe made up from 1" tubing. (maybe 1-1/8" tubing)
My seat was a shell, carved of foam then glassed. so I put three cross supports about 1" tall by 1/2" thick to support my weight. It could probably support 300 lbs.
If it's a decent seat you shouldn't need to reinforce it , though.
I have already drilled holes and epoxied bolts through the seat( you can kind of see them in pic on top of pan) I was concerned about the seating cracking if I crank down on the bolts.
