Been plugging away at the bugs and life in general. Got the number plate done.

I tried the fcr but i didnt have the proper jets for idle so went back to the cv.

Hooked up the fcr. I like it better. Gotta fix the paint on the left side due to the gas spill before vinyl. Plus work is a madhouse lately.

That is looking really good, my friend.

Thanks man. Ya to me its not done till the vinyl is done. I just need time off work to bring it to them.

Oh and I forgot I added street performance cams and a roller bearing cam guides to repace the stock fixed aluminum. There is more mechanical noise from the engine now from the bearings but the fcr overrides the noise with its bird chirping slide noise.

Redoing the paint. I tried to shoot base over non sanded primer. I was in the window but it must have gotten alot shorter due to the hot weather that day so i lost adhesion.

Actually looks kinda cool this way.

;D ;D.....that`s a good reason!

Ita actually taller than you would think. I did everything I could do to lower it while still maintaining strait lines from tank to seat. Forks are internally lowered 1" and lowered in the trips 1.5".Rear is lowered by .5" ish.

the failed re-paint is because the last sprayjob wasn't 100% cured and it "re-wet" when you sprayed new material on top of it. you have to sand it ALL THE WAY back to primer with no remainder of recent paint anywhere on it, then re-seal/prime, and lay paint within your window. typically, I start setting up my color as soon as I've let go of the trigger on primer.....once the primer has gone from shiny to hazy, start a dust coat of color, once that's hazy, good coverage coat and so on.

Which repaint were you referring to. Lol.

Hollywood,
Very nice as one wodl expect of one of your bikes. two suspension questions; the forks, I see you pressed in a stem? What forks are you using, and what had to be done to the virago Stem to press it in? On the shock, you mentioned some machined bits to make the Triumph shock work, what needed done?

Thanks. Those are stock xv920rh forks modified internally and with progressive Springs. So stock stem and trips.

The triumph shock is smaller on both ends requiring custom spacers and larger eye on the one end. The spacers have to be 100% accurate to the 0.5mm to ensure there is zero slop. To be honest its slightly annoying. Also the triumph spring may be too stiff. Still testing. Its definitely outperforming the forks.
