JUNE 2011 BIKE OF THE MONTH - NOMINATIONS!

Here's the scoop:

1. Nominate one of our member's bike for Bike of the Month - include up to 3 flattering pictures of the bike in question.

The Nomination MUST MUST MUST MUST be accompanied by the member's User Name, a link to the thread where their bike is best described (Build thread, Show n Shine etc.) and a PHOTO of the bike in question.

2. Someone seconds the nomination (please only second one nomination)

3. Member should accept the nomination

We will accept nominations till we have a good selection. A poll will be set up and voting will take place for the remainder of the month. Whoever ends the voting period with the most votes wins :)

As a reward, we will use a picture of the winner's bike on the site banner for the following month.

There are PLENTY of deserving bikes, and I'm confident each month we will see lots of nominations. To keep it simple we will vote on the first 10 bikes nominated each month. Once you win, you're out of contention for future votes.

If you have an opinion on whether a bike should have been nominated or not, is qualified or not, or whatever, PM ME - this thread is NOT the place to debate the merits of a nomination.

I've kept this contest open to all for over a year and that's the way it is. If you don't like a nomination, don't Second it, and ultimately don't VOTE for it. So if someone nominates a milk-crate full of pistons and crank bearings, don't get your panties in a knot and start pulling your hair out. Relax, have a drink, and get back to building your bikes.

If the collective membership is dumb enough to vote for said milk-crate full of spare parts as the BOTM, then so be it and I'll make a pretty banner of the parts (which would look cool BTW). I'm a strong believer in democracy and the power of the vote.

I will nominate Ringo,s CB550 Le Mans special.

And Chris, just accept the fact that once someone seconds it, that a lot of people will pester you until you accept!

Love how you did the tail section of this bike. :D Had the same idea in regards to the frame aspect of the tail section. Nicely done.

Feel kinda sorry for the next nominations to come. A VERY hard act to follow.

A great build, enjoyed watching it come to fruition

+1 For Ringo's bike, Stellar work Brother!!!!

Although I think we should get at least one "Bike Builder" post his own bike and stirr up some $hit !!!!
I quite enjoyed last months spit slinging.

Some of you guys are missing the point..........I nominated Ringo,s bike because I like it. And only because I personally like it. I didnt name it to stop others from being nominated!

i think we all like it, thats the problem. Personally I can't think of any others I would nominate at this point.

If there's any bike that can give that sweet Gulf bike a run for it's money, it's gotta be a bike with two 2-strokin' pistons side by side. There's nothing like the smell of pre-mix in the morning.

What a bike Wingspan. T500 all the way!

i nominate this by me!! dansofield550 coz i made it myself, my frame my yoke (triple t's or whatever) my exhaust my rear sets my tank my loom my seat my wheel spindles caliper hangers the list goes on and on
stand up for those that do it themselves!

Uh, yeah, sweet bike, but you can't nominate yourself. I'll let the others chime in with the other criteria.

i know i can't nom my self ,just kidding really, but the blue bike is well smart, even if it does have a rock on the side stand!

I could have sworn I posted to this thread already, but it's not here. I think Ringo is the man to beat but I'll go ahead and humbly accept the nomination. Thanks everyone. :)
