Lake gairdner

Taken my ace out for a ride today. First ride in a while . Can now ride with little to no pain from my fall in December. Hopefully will be riding a little more often . Ordered a new jacket ( dririder ) to replace my damaged one . Just need to get a new every day helmet so I can put my race helmet back in its box.

I remember the old blue plastic bag inside a plastic bag type DriRiders - but the range now is incredible. Almost too hard to choose.

The right stuff.

That'll look so cool on the wall.

What mods have you got in mind for next year?

Still working on programmable ignition. Might run two classes and put a fairing on yet...

Has a speed been established for 175cc with fairing?

Even if you don't get much more out of the 'Ace', 132+kph is quite impressive.

Crazy

If I can find another few horses I have higher gearing. I tried it to early last year before I got a good tune. If I can get enough power it should push me over 90 mph. I'll get some other rear gears to split it down if I have to. 35 / 18 is sounding like the go. The fairing should do the trick otherwise. I've had it up to 87 mph but can't hold that over the mile yet

Have you tried the 18 for a fit? I'm running 17:35 on my 150 and I had to grind a small amount off the crankcase to use an o-ring chain.

Crazy

I had to relieve the case a bit. Standard good quality chain. Only did one pass . Was too tall with the tune i had . Should have gone back to it the last pass but stupidly I changed a jet instead that I had tried earlier in the week. Safe to say it didn't work . Should have had enough power how I was jetted to pull the 18. So I left running the big gears for next year. Pulled ok in 4 th but lost speed in top. It was still quicker in 4th than my previous years speed in top gear with the 18 tooth gear
