First off I apologize if this is in the wrong section and if so please move it to the correct section.
So after battling severe Rheumatoid Arthritis for the past 10 years and seeing multiple doctors I found out my only real option to be in less/no pain is total wrist fusion. Now it wouldn't be a big problem if it wasn't my right wrist but it is. I know I'll have a lot of recovery to go through before I can even consider riding again but I want to start thinking down the road and what my options will be. I'm going to lose 100% of my up/down and side to side motion in my wrist, but I'll have the twist (as in twisting a door knob) motion as that is my arm twisting and not my wrist. I'll keep full range of motion in my fingers as well.
I have a 73' CB350G that's in my signature.
I was just wondering what everyone thought of about a switching my controls to the other side, as in throttle and brake to the left side and clutch to the right side, so I could still ride. Or I was even thinking about a thumb throttle like an ATV uses, I know it's definitely not as cool as a twist throttle, but didn't know how it would work or if it'd be comfortable enough to ride with either.
I'm open to any suggestions or ideas any one might have.
