Cool, I am going to start reminding the wife she said I can go again this year. Then I'll book the days off work. I may try to time it with summer vacation too and just leave the family at a campground half way and meet them back there to finish out vacation. It all depends on where they want to go this summer. Trailer the bike half the way and then get to take better roads to and from then the freeways.

Flying in to Mid-Ohio you have options.
While Columbus (CMH) is the closest major airport, the reality is unless you have friends, you will want to rent a car/vehicle because you've got at least a 45 min drive to the track regardless.
Shop for good pricing, as Dayton, Toledo & Cleveland airports are all less than 2 hours from the track.
As was mentioned earlier, you will need to be calling now for a room within 30 miles of the track. This is a big event in the middle of nowhere and what few rooms there are are frequently booked long in advance.
This event is second only to Barber in my experience. The swap meet is vast and diverse, and the racing is (or at least was) top notch.
If you can only do one major event, Barber is the one to hit, but if there's any way to squeeze in a second, Mid-Ohio is a real winner.

So... From the West Penn, we'll have the same crew as last year (BradJ, Maritime, JustinLonghorn, my bro in law and myself) plus Big Rich.
