Mid-Ohio July 24-26, 2009

Ridden Not Trailered!
Don't know if anyone's looking that far ahead, but Vintage Motorcycle Days at Mid-Ohio is from July 24-26 this year, and the featured marques are the 1969 CB750 (Sandcast), and the CBX. If you've never been, you owe it to yourself to be a part of this, if only once. Over 70,000 people were there last year over the three days, and it's definitely friendly to the Cafe/Brit/Jap crowd.

I'm planning on riding out from here in Baltimore, so maybe I'll see you there!

I plan on taking my '76 CB500T. Not sure if I'll ride or haul it in the truck.,(in case I see something else I have to bring home) Hope to see you there.
Allen

Look under 'Japan Meets Britain' in the Show'n'Shine to see the final look -- I just got it back yesterday!

Vintage Days is my favorite weekend of the year. We'll be there Thurs thru Sun just like we have for the last 10 years. Come by and say hi.

Theres about 5 or six of us comin out from pittsburgh. Im hopin to have my 73' cb500k cafe finished by than. I'll be riding out w my uncle on his 43' harley wl flathead. Not a cafe but a cool bike nonetheless. See ya there.

I'm hoping to go. I'll probably drive down from Detroit since none of my friends have bikes and a few want to go.

Hotels?? We don't need no stinkin' hotels. Tent and sleeping bag is where it's at. Wake up to the sound of two-strokes and the smell of racing fuel. Better than any alarm clock. Attention in the padock, attention in the padock, first call race 1......

Just trying to have some fun but seriously it's a blast to camp right at the track. You can usually camp out right next to your car if you want. More fun than anything else that's still legal.

That's okay -- though I much prefer staying at my favourite B & B that's about 5 miles from the event. Costs about $ 20.00 less than most of the motels in the area, and much more civilized too!

hey, is that a Duc fairing under the table? and maybe a GT750 drum brake way in the back? they for sale? ::)

CORRECTION! They just announced this past week, BSA is the featured Marque. Haven't announced the Grand Marshal yet... any guesses? They do also usually have a featured club- maybe that's were the Honda's fit in? I've got a line on a CBX, but getting the fundage is tough with rolling lay-offs at work (1 week off, 3 weeks on each month) I usually hit at least one day, am hoping to be there all weekend this year, should have my 650 done by then. I'm lucky, have family that lives in the local area, and I'm only 75 miles away. I particularly enjoy the flat track races on Friday night at Ashland Fairgrounds ;D

Yeah, I read that too. Any idea if that means that the CBX / CB750 'recognition' isn't happening, or is that a separate thing?

these are a few snippets i gathered from a couple of posts over on the SOHC board

i have a little "project" to finish (ie my moto) before i decide in which capacity i will attend. i hope it's on a completed bike.
If i can only make one day, does anyone have a suggestion on what day that might be. i'm interested...kinda...in the swap meet. but i think moreso for the actual racing (jap/euro)
