Re: Moto Guzzi
First of all the new ones were tight as I replaced all seals. So it idles way more smoothly than with the old ones but I could probably have got the same result with new o rings and gaskets on the old ones.
I thonk the 36mm carbs make the engine reving better. The pumps give a little extra but also the straight inlet manifolds add to that. I ran a bit with the bigger carbs and the cone exhausts before I got the lafranconis on. I think the combo of lafranconi and 36mm carbs really made the difference. I had to rejet and also adding anothe atomizer to get the full out of it but its really a different engine than the one I started out with. Pulls better, runs easily to the red line and just feels and sounds more like a race engine than a tourer.
Nice bike btw, like the seat and the cross bar at the rear end where the two horisontal tubes end.
