Now that's a racer! great looking ride dude 8)

Re: My CB200 BUILD - END OF BUILD PICTURES

You've put together a really good looking bike man. Make sure you post how she runs and handles when you get her out in the road.

I used the florist foam and carved the shape that I wanted. However after I glassed my seat I decided on a different shape, and I cut off the back of it. Then I just free formed fiberglass for the tail section to ultimately get it to that shape.

The fun begins! If you have to push your date back... then you have too. I have had to adjust my date multiple times! Sometimes things just don't go right for awhile.

I will definitely report back after she gets to that stage. I am still trying to work out some of the tune up glitches.... My cam timing could possibly be off by a tooth, so I will just have to see.

I also decided to run my own wiring for the electric start system... and my bike will crank for a LONG time on that 7.5AH battery.

where did you get those LEDs?

I got those LEDs from fleabay. BUT I made sure not to buy any I at least had my seat concept completed.

Re: My CB200 BUILD - END OF BUILD PICTURES

Yeah, that seat/indicator light set up is too cool for school. Post a video of how she runs!

Re: My CB200 BUILD - END OF BUILD PICTURES

Will do! But my tune up has been delayed... and the engine is again in pieces on my garage floor. My cam chain tensioner rubber wheel basically disintegrated into thousands of little pieces of rubber inside my engine... So I pulled it apart and am cleaning it all up again while I wait on my new chain tensioner.

On another note I have been redoing the electronics of my cycle. I have been re running a lot of my wires through the frame. pics to follow.

Re: My CB200 BUILD - END OF BUILD PICTURES

Things I will try to accomplish yet this summer, while having the bike in driving condition.

Rearsets
Lower Headlight/LED headlight
Lower the gauges
Toggle switch instead of key ignition

Re: My CB200 BUILD - THE RESURRECTION - SHOW N SHINE PHASE

So this summer I have accomplished a few things.

drilled my front rotor
redid some electrical as the old was/still is a rats nest
finally got my cb200 engine in order and no longer am reliant on the cb175 engine I have in the garage
put on a new coil,
eliminated the keyed ignition in favor of a toggle switch

Re: My CB200 BUILD - THE RESURRECTION - SHOW N SHINE PHASE

Hey sorry, I'll email you back asap! I haven't been checking them b/c my computer is down and am using my wifes.

Re: My CB200 BUILD - THE RESURRECTION - SHOW N SHINE PHASE

Current objectives - Pics below

I stripped down the bike to the bare bones, and I have started removal of all unnecessary components. Lots of grinding.

+I intend on improving the handling of the bike.
-I plan to do this by replacing the rear shocks with something stronger/more rigid.
-The front forks, I intend to rebuild them and add an exterior spring from a set of old shocks I have to make it more rigid.

+Remove paint from all other components and repaint
-remove the old paint on everything else and polish all my old bolts and nuts I intend on keeping

-color scheme idea -------
Fire engine red frame
black rims and hubs with silver spoke nipples and white spokes
Black handelbars
Black front forks, but the front fork springs will be white
White tank and seat with black pinstriping

+Add my rearsets, clip ons, new simplified wiring harness, new electronics mount placement, lower the headlight.

Doing a mock up of how I am going to mount these shocks on my front forks. It should improve the rigidity of my front end significantly.

Parts currently on order - Received
Rear-sets
Stainless steel allen head crankcase bolt set
Clip ons
New Rear shocks from a vt500(received them and they seem wayyyy to big for this tiny bike.)

This phase is slow and steady. So far I have put about 10hrs into taking the thing apart, mocking up components, stripping the frame, etc.. My goal is to have as clean of a bike as possible.

Re: My CB200 BUILD - THE RESURRECTION - SHOW N SHINE PHASE

nope, I had a cb175 donor bike I parted, and I was going to part my 200 engine, but decided to spend some time trying to get it to work out.
