Now THIS is what a Harley is all about !!!!!canyoncarver said:My other daily ride. 79ish FXS raked low rider with a 6 over springer and some old school engine mods. A bit high maintenance yeah, and it's been a rolling project but so crazy cool to ride. You have to talk to this bike to make it work. My ZRX feels surgical in comparison.
I think the Natural Bridge Mounted Police are still looking for the rider of this bike !!!!!deviant said:Until I get the CB750 or the GL on the road, this is my daily...

Great story Bill. The question I usually get is, "A..April...Aprilee? Who makes it?" I usually respond with, "Ducati, go check out at the dealer, make sure you ask to see one, they keep them in the back room."ApriliaBill said:I have an 08, not as surgically precise as your ride (they were still a little brutish in 08), but I have to say they are amazing bikes. Rode mine to a local breakfast spot recently and the battery died. Some douche yells out "leave it to Aprilia".... I turned and told him it was the original battery, yep 7 years without as much as a hiccup. Asked him if his bike did the same for him? He just slunk away with his buddies laughing at him. I run with a guy who has 94k on his and never even a gasket replacement. I've heard some issues with a few, but basically one of the most amazing bikes I've owned, and I lost count how many bikes years ago, with 4 in the garage now. It's great having a bike that every time you take it out, it still finds a way to take your breath away...

wahvtec said:This is my daily driver 02 vulcan 500. Got it with 1600 miles on it. Previous owner wrecked it, bent the forks and parked it in the yard....where it sat for 7 years. My cousin traded a t.v. for it and left it in that other persons yard for 2 more years because "it didnt start". I was told if I could haul it I could have it so I drove to new orleans to get it. Of course wheels were locked up etc so getting it in the truck was fun. I gave my cousin my trusty daily yamaha riva 125 to train her kids on as a trade. New forks, junction box, the usuals and its a super reliable bike. I love it other than the stupid flames that are actually under the clear. Great crusty daily.
