My first ever CB450 build has commenced.

Sweet build. How do you keep the washer in the triple tree that holds the switch?

thank you,
Steve

Thanks, I keep it intact with a couple of dabs of silicone on the inside ;D

[picky bastard] Is there any way to loose the hex nuts under the light fitting? If it sat flush on the tree it would be neater, or if you need to space it perhaps something round and shiny? [/picky bastard]

You know, I'm not normally attracted to lots of chrome, but your stuff is so deep and shiny I'm re-thinking my outlook.

Killer build fella.

cheers

Thank you. I hear what your saying, but without that hex nut the little light would fall straight through :) and I didnt have a washer on me at the time ;D
Maybe on my next project I will go more into detail as this is my first ever bike build of any kind. Once I sell it the funds will go into building another, where i'll spend more time into little things like that. :)

No sweat spidey. I'm still having trouble reconciling the fact that this is your first build

You have such a great eye for detail, and it really shows in your work. I'm willing to bet there's more than a few people keeping a keen eye on your progress.

Some one is going to pick up a great bike when you eventually sell this beauty.

cheers

Thanks Ian,

It's great forums like this one that keep me motivated & push me to excel in my work.

I can only imagine what sort of work I could produce if given a work shop. The lounge room in a 2 bedroom unit kinda holds me back in producing something far more extravagant.

Zonda has been my main contender here ;D ;D ;D And few others.

Well you have a captive audience waiting for the day ;)

Yes, that bike of Rod's is another gem I've been following

Yes, that's a nice touch indeed. You need to cut the heads of a couple of counter-sunk allen heads and glue them in to complete the illusion ;)

Looks great. Can I be really rude and ask what you paid to have that exhaust fabbed up? Is that just a regular (car) shop?

cheers

Yes you may ask.

I paid AU $550 with the reverse cone muffler I'm yet to put on. Its the second most expensive thing ive paid for after the tank and seat Dolphine combo from Benjie.

The little badge is only siliconed on and thats great idea, thanks Ian..

I got the exhaust fabbed up at Liverpool Exhaust. It was the cheapest quote I could find, the closest quote to come near was AU $1600 WTF I dont think so haha

I've not yet tightened the muffler up as ive yet to wrap the pipes up as the stainless steal doesn't go with anything :)

I also need to work on the fuel lines as Ive been told that they're gravity feed.

did you ever sort out your rear clearance issue? Still looks super close!

DAMN that bike is looking SICK!
