I blame my girlfriend for that :)

Thanks Roiber

Wow she turned out great... So how did you do all the polishing in your apartment?

I love the way this thing looks, I really hope you don't have clearance issues with that back hoop, be careful on the first ride! I had a cl175 that I did the rear hoop similar, in fact it had a little more clearance, and on the second ride went into a tight radius turn at 15 or so MPH... the suspension bottomed out and threw me into a car coming the other direction... I spent 6 months recovering... Bike was totaled cause it got run over by a freight truck behind me. The rear suspension really articulates when riding, I thought I was safe cause I weigh maybe 160lbs, but that had nothing to do with it... sheer physics. Be safe dude!

Good looking bike there spider man. However, I'm concerned about the close proximity of that rear bar under the seat to the wheel once you're on it and riding. Please tell me they are not going to foul on each other.

That was reply number 72 i wrote back on page 8 which never got answered. It did concern me a lot but the quiet that ensued lead me to think maybe i was just being overly cautious and I figured he had it sorted.

Please, please, do whatever you can to check that the back of this bike will be safe.

I've had an unsuccessful weekend where the bike wouldn't kick over. The bottom of my right foot is bruised and sore. The bike did kick over for about 10sec, and in that 10sec it sounded soooooo good :)

The clearance should be ok after compressing the springs all the way. I had my weight 75kg and another friend of mine 87kg on the back trying to see if we could hit the top rear tyre with the back pan, we were unsuccessful there too ;D

I just bought a treadmill on eBay, I'm going to use it to spin the back wheel after we reverse the bike onto it and reverse the polarity on the electric motor haha. I got the treadmill for $61 AUD.
No more trying to kick start it.

Surely there's a better way.

Any ideas as to why it doesn't want to start?

The better way would be to take it to a shop :) If the treadmill doesnt work my only option will be to take it to a work shop :(

I have spark, I have compression and I have fuel, I'm kind of lost. Ill try again this weekend..

I would take it to a shop and screw the treadmill. You're already into the project for so much and you can't rely on the treadmill every time to start it... You can't take a treadmill with you on a ride... Do it right the first time!

If you have fuel delivery and spark then chances are it'll be technique, once you find it you're set. Every bike is different but usually if you give it a swift kick with NO THROTTLE and the choke on, that should get you some life on the second kick. It's the opposite when the bike's warm, lots of throttle and no choke. Keep at it, once you find the knack you'll find it'll be theft proof to anyone who doesn't have the knack ;)
