Now thats a killer lookin bike! love what you did with it.

That brake light is crazy, its almost a reversable bike. add a handlebar to the back and you can ride it no matter which way you sit on it.

Well.. I just got this tail/brake light for a 57 Caddy..

I'll just have to make a bracket to mount it into the fender/seat... We'll see how it looks then..

OK.. So I had to pull off the clipons.. they cracked.. so I put on a new set of Telefix clipons:

Put new stainless steel Goodridge front brake lines on along with a hayabusa front Master Cylinder:

Slapped a mirror on it:

Slammed the bike down low.. Here is Saucer trying on the bike for size... and comfort... ;D

The 59 Caddy taillight still hasnt arrived yet so the big tractor light stays on for now... Also still waiting for the turns...

That light is really growing on me!!..

Here is Saucer trying to find out which bike project is lower.. my sr500 or his slammed cb450 brat bike...

Tomorrow.. The headder wrap goes on the bike...

I 'm looking for a front xs650 spoked disk brake wheel... Any one got one laying around?

Quickly put the headder wrap on...

After: Bye bye cruddy head pipe...

I also slapped the tach back on until the tach plug that I ordered arrives...

The battery Lesser Kit also arrived today along wtih the turns signals...

I 'll make brackets for the turns tomorrow.. and install the Battery lesser as soon as I make a plate for under the seat:

Dude... It's already bigger than the headlight, if it grows any bigger you're going to have trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground!
Seriously though, it's looking great Noel.

Rode it last night... what a blast...

My review on the Sr500...
Total blast around the city.. very peppy and torquey at low revs.. always wants to lift if you launch it hard from stop!!..
Terrible on the highway!!.. at very sluggish over 120kms.. like its given me all its got and just dying to take a coffee break..

I'd never ride this thing long distances, unlike my xs650.. jetting perhaps?..mabe... change sprocket?.. ehh. naw... what for?... its a blast to ride from light to light..

I finally leared the "secret" about positioning it at Top Dead Center, and kicking it that no manual tells you about...thanks to Hide...

Other than changing the rubber carb mount.. (stress cracks causing a floating idle due to air leak...), its pretty much done..

Time to move on to the next bike.... or finish off my others... ;D

Haven't you learned yet that Noel is the definitive rebel? Tell him not to touch that piece of NOS perfection and he can't wait to get the hacksaw. Talk trash about his bat signal taillight, and it is now a permanent piece of the architecture. I for one dig it, very friggin unique.

Thanks man.. Im glad you like it.. that tail light had really started to grow on me...
I took it off to test fit the 59caddy light on another fender but its just not the same!!... I think that light makes the bike look shorter

Sounds like a blast, and you're right....an SR just isn't gonna be a good long range ride but can kill in town!
