Here is my Norton / Suzuki hybrid cafe racer, 1958 Norton wideline frame with a Hayabusa radial front end in one off yokes that have been smoothed to look kinda old skool, Harris clip ons with ISR master cylinders, ZRX1200 rear end, Aluminium 5 gallon tank, Aluminium seat unit that was rescued from a bike jumble, think it might have been a Dunsatll item, had a 2" strip inserted down the centre to suit the lines of the tank.
The engine is a GSF1200 that has been bored out to 1216cc, with kent cams on slotted sprockets, gas flowed, polished & ported, MTC lock up clutch & spacer plate with clutch breather hoses, earls oil cooler & RS38 carbs, should put out in the region of 150BHP.

Her`s a couple of pics one when she was a baby 1052cc and with the new engine fitted, should be on the road in a fortnight.

Interested to here your comments, feel free good & bad

My type of bike. I am not too keen on the bubble rears seats but it's not my bike. Nice combo of parts. We have a Norasaki or Kawaton (which ever you prefer), Norton Manx frame with a Kawasaki 75 H2 750 2 stroke triple in it.

It's badass man
I'm just curious how that frame handles that much power?

Norasaki sounds cool, widow maker in a Norton frame ;)

It handled the 1052 ok, that put out 128BHP, will let you know how the frame copes with the 1216, hopefully they have wi fi in hospital ;D

A couple of slips of her running, 1052 engine

That was the point, putting the fastest motor from a widow maker into the best handling frame of the era and making one of the quickest, best handling bikes of it's time.

She drank a little bit of go juice today, lasting about 15 seconds then flooded the bowls, think the seals might have gone dry.

Try again tomorrow

Rear shocks are ZRX 1200, complete rear end.

Front end is ok but the rear would spin up when it had the 1052 engine, should be interesting with 150 brake ;D

Will let you know hopefully after this weekend

Motor in, front end in, carbs fitted, press the button and all is good, fit chain.....fouls on swingarm...Bollox

No chain slider, this engine is 20mm wider than the 1052, a bit of sprocket & sprocket carrier machining is required :-[

The Norzook had her first road test today, took her thru Central London to the bike shed gig, ran sweet as a nut, putting out a shit load of torque, had to tighten the rear swingarm clamps down tight as the eccentric adjuster is moving under load, she pulls like a friggin freight train & listening to those flatslides chatter along with the exhaust popping thru town is like pure music, brought the people to halt, they thought they was being shot ;D
The front end is so stable under hard braking, handling & feel off the B-King forks is unreal.

Will get some pics up later
