not a cafe, but it is old! fighter style gs750ef

You guys are going to love this. THis is my bike I used to own!!!! I PM'd the owner in case he wants to know what we did to it. Here is the posting from the other forum I found it on:

Holy shit dude! I think you bought my bike I sold a few years ago!! It's a Yosh pipe on there right? I sold the bike to a guy and his son just west of Toronto so I could buy my Bandit 1200. He wanted it for his son. My bike mechanic friend and I tore it down and did some engine work on that bike if you want to know more about it. I may still have the VIN kicking around somewhere so we can verify. Did you buy it in like Etobicoke or something? May have changed hands after the guy I sold it too. It's a great bike and I can fill you in on what we did to the motor and how it looked when we tore it down.

I also recognize the recovered seat which is slightly different from stock!! Wow small world! PM sent! It's too bad you raped a pretty rare model though. Would have been better to keep it stock then go buy another bike. Oh well.

Then I got a little pissed to what he did to this very rare model of bike:

It's definitely my bike for sure I even remember the shit spare keys I got for it. Woah!! Well from what we did to the engine unless the last owner raped it, it should last another 100,000 kms. We tore it right down, also the CDI is brand new so your good there. I'll wait to confirm with the owner I can fill him in on all the shit we did and maybe give him the mechanics phone number if he wants to ask more.

It's a pretty rare model. Why would he chop the fuck out of it? It's like taking a rare model '57 chevy, cutting the fuck out of it and stick a ford Pinto body on it. It's just not done. I'm guessing he's a kid or something and doesn't know any better. If kept in relitively stock and good shape it might have been worth some money some day as it was year before the GSXR750 came out but now it's worth just parts. I would have chopped the ES model instead which there were thousands and thousands not the few hundred EF full fairing models that came into Canada. I guess you can't learn taste.

I even have new Suzuki "S" decals for the tank on me that he could pick up for free, that I forgot to give to the person I sold it to. I guess he won't be needing them now with the raping and all. Oh well another rare model classic bike bites the dust due to "bubba-izing". There's probably now only a handful left in the entire country, minus one now.

While he did good work and he is obviously talented why would he use a very rare model to chop up? It's like taking the Mona Lisa and white washing it so you can paint over it. It doesn't matter if you paint the best picture of your life you still raped and wrecked the picture underneath. I'm guessing from the import "fast and furious" special in the driveway that he's a kid or something. Sad, just sad. Some things don't need to be "souped" up.

What the hell?

Mr. Rider123, that really didn't make much sense at all. It's tough to figure who said what in your 2 posts..........are YOU mad that the bike got "raped"?

Agreed, I don't follow what you said rider...I understand you're mad that the original bike was modified but that's life. You sold it. It's up to the individual to do whatever they want with their own stuff, some day it'll all be turned to dust or household appliances anyway so have fun while you can. I would like to know why the creation was ever parted out but I'd guess it was for the same reason the original bike was modded.

When I think of 'classic, rare bikes', GS750E isn't really on that list. What does an original one sell for? I doubt he used a hole saw to cut orifices in the precious fairings, through which he then proceeded to sodomize or 'rape' it, as you say. Do you think maybe he and his buddies that helped him build it had a real raw gang bang? One going at the head tube, another the exhaust, yet another hunched like a frog defiling the gas filler all whilst pouring Motul 4T over the poor bike... screaming "take that you Japanese whore!"

No. I think he used his money to buy a bike that someone was selling, he then decided to mold the bike into something HE wanted for HIMSELF. Oh and a bunch of other people really seemed to like it too. Look at how many people totally chop up Kaw triples...sure that means theres one less totally OG one out there rotting, but if somebody finds one and decides to chop it then they usually sell off the stock parts which in turn restorers buy, then you have 2 classic bikes on the road instead of none. I love fully faired bikes but that one looked like a rhinoceros or something. Just big and bulbous and dated, in a bad way. If you don't like modified bikes then you sir are on the wrong forum. Now when people start taking RD's and the like, and make them hardtail choppers with knobby tires and shit like that, then Ill be the first to gripe and groan. He just updated an old streetfighter.

I get that the EF has a small following, but it's no Katana or Wes Cooley. Plus it looked a bit tired before teardown. The owner made it into a pretty cool ride, what's there to lose?

The 750 EF's were never as desirable as their 1150 big brothers. I had an 84 750 EF and whilst it was an OK bike, it was never really that exciting or desirable. The next year the GSXR750 came out and you were pretty much hard pressed to give a 750EF away......

Especially with the stock 16" front wheel. It wasn't a great handler.
