Philly throttle anyone?

I think Discovery cancelled Philly Throttle. I had it set to DVR and now there are no episodes listed. As much as I didn't like the drama of the show it was still nice to see old bikes getting some air time. Oh well. I googled it and found this:

"Damn i think the axed me off Tv.. oh well motorcycle time...they didnt give me huge bread,,i spent it all to do it..on bullshit really..this that and the other thing add up.. but they cant mold me into douche bag ready to serve. im a MOTORCYCLE guy, they seemed to glance right over all the best cycle shot we did,...,not enough bike shit and too much of my big ass mouth open..i really dont yell that much and its always really mellow... TV makes it not cool no matter how you slice it..it gets ruined and ive seen it go down that way in person.. its been great but if nothing else comes of all this TV crap,,,then at least all the motorcycle guys know me... but i wish i got some big TV money,,really.

Thanks, Adam - Liberty Vintage . Philadelphia"

Taken off the air after only 3 episodes... That must be some sort of record. No doubt, they have more episodes in the can, already produced and edited. Maybe some day they will surface as, "Philly Throttle, the Lost Episodes."

The show concept was flawed. It was so obviously scripted and phony. It certainly failed in its appeal to motorcycle enthusiasts, and apparently it also failed with fans of so-called reality shows.

The show portrayed Adam as a largely dysfunctional, chain smoking cretin with little charisma. Most of the people that he surrounded himself were even more dysfunctional. I don't know any of them, and haven't met any of them, so I don't have any idea how true any of that may be. That's just the impression that I got from the show as a viewer.

As far as Adam "finally making it," as a result of the show, I don't see how it could possibly help his business. Would anyone who watched the show want to do business with him after seeing how he operates?

I was hoping for a motorcycle centric show, well produced, showing a star in the industry producing good work. Instead, all we got to see was yet another lamely scripted reality show. Doesn't bode well for motorcycle shop shows as a genre. <sigh>

Back to the drawing board.
