The auxiliary tank is a knock off of the motion pro
I was using and outboard gas tank for a while, but it was getting old and crappy.
Was not going to spend $50-100 for one of the tanks, this was from amazon at like $30
For $30 to take it out of the box and start using it I figured it was worth it
Mounted a hitch under my Yukon. I've been wanting to do this since we got it about 7 years ago. Hauling two bikes to Barber was the kick in the pants I needed.
With a trailer, I can now move more toys that I could previously fit in the Stepside. The wife is gonna hate that
Well, looks like I'll be riding in fine style at Barber
After a major false start with my plans to go to Bonneville in 2012, and talking at length with Kevin at Loaded Gun Customs and their people at Vanson about a suit for the salt, looks like my suit actually got made! I'd best go back and double check my measurements and lay off the donuts for the next few weeks - think I was a bit thinner back when I measured up for it.
Should be in Kevin's hands on Friday, and I'll pick it up in person at Barber. You did get the news right - Loaded Gun Customs is joining us in the Ace Corner at Barber!

Awesome for you Tim!
I just got to hang out with Kevin for a few hours last week at Ocean City. A very talented, stand up kind of guy. Also got to meet his beautiful newborn Twins
Tim i expect pictures buddy!!!! anyone that does not know... i did not purchase... but Tim was so kind to send me this for my newborn daughter... i thought that was such a stand up move on his part and it was very very much Appreciated... thought that was awesome that someone so far would go out of their way to do something so kind! Tim, thanks again buddy!
Seriously though - I always enjoy hearing of new ones joining our midst. A while back I read a post from a member about the knit hats his wife makes. She works in the NICU of a hospital and knit some of these hats for preemies there etc. So every once in a while I try to get one made for a friend's newborn. So far I think they've all been girls Yeah, I'm a soft touch.

I've seen lots of pics of the girls - they look like 2 characters and will give Kevin a run for his money when they're older Kevin is a good guy - looking forward to seeing him again next month. Unfortunately his dad isn't making the trip this year, so no street-racing through Birmingham in a rented white cargo van (I got to drive and we raced the other guys to the BBQ joint).
I contemplated having the entire suit made of checkerboard. But decided against it Wanted a classic look. Honestly was a a bit of a surprise having it made as my Bonneville adventure went off the rails and deferred until at least 2013 so the suit was put on the backburner, but wires got crossed and it got made anyhow!
So while the expense was a little unexpected and comes right before Barber, it's a great investment and I can't wait to see it. Should be picking it up from Kevin at the Ace Corner so it's inaugural ride will be highly appropriate. Might skip the pants while riding around but the jacket should be awesome. It will have a number of patches on it as well from DTT, Dime City, Loaded Gun...
