America and guns. I just don't get it

Read this - ignore the source for a few paragraphs, it's actually quite well done:

I am sorry. We try to not discuss politics here. If you have an opinion, you might want to keep it to yourself. And I will do the same.

+!. That was eye opening. It's nice to see an article that opens up the debate rather than pushing the same old tired buttons. The one thing I have not read is how much gun sales go up every time the NRA etc push the "they''re going to take your guns away" replay button.

This is about economics not politics and our rights to facts so that we can discuss issues armed (if you will pardon the pun) with some facts. It would be nice if "news" channels actually reported more news and less opinions. Why is it easier to get news about the US from CCTV9 than a US channel? At the moment I have to watch hours of BS on FOX and MSNBC to try to work out what is actually happening.

When I was in Salina KS for work, most of us got sent back to Canada on a few days notice to go to bomb Libya. All that was on TV at the time was Charlie Sheen going nuts and the oil spill in the Gulf. A few notes here and there about Libya but the fore mentioned two stories and other BS. Wonder whats most important in life?

Back to shit we bought!

Great article, Rich.

It isn't politics, it's emotion.

Yup. I posted that article on FB awhile back and it was quite interesting to see the replies from both sides of the argument amongst some friends. That piece seemed to touch the "calm the fuck down and think before you speak" nerve. Forgot it existed. ;)

Puig Stream windshield mounted up on the ER6n. Combined with the hand guards makes a 35 degree highway commute downright pleasant!

Pizza for dinner

You bastard! I had a very nice salmon dinner, but man, there's nothing like fish to leave you hungry 4 hours later. Now I'm gonna have to find me a slice.

That's right up there with 'the older i get the faster i was'. Thanks, that takes care of the next birthday for my pop.

This followed me home yesterday... the wife said I could keep it.

1982 XJ750 with just over 20,000 miles on the clock and brand new tires. Aside from the paint job starting to flake a bit, the only significant faults I could find were the front brakes rubbing a bit and the battery warning light keeps flashing (I'm told this latter issue is fairly common and there are workarounds).

$300 seemed like a good deal.

The guy actually wanted $600 for it. I told him $300 and walked when he said no. I got a call to come back five minutes later. ;)
