Post a pic of your latest purchase

NICE SCORE ohiocaferacer
Somewhere I have a motorcycle magazine comparison of that Benny, a CBX, and the KZ1300 from back in the day.

That's too cool, going to fit 1-1/2 CB500 race kits? ;)
those 'swoopy' pipes always look fantastic, is it even possible to make them without hydroforming?

Threw on an unfinished alloy CR750 tank and seat, but didnt like the look......will probadly build a new alloy tank similar to my CR350 alloy race tanks.

Hopefully will have something similar to this when its finished.

.....but maybe a little closer to looking like my race bike......and street legal. ;D

That will be great when you get it to look like the one in the picture. Where do you plan to source the curved megaphone exhaust? Those may be hard to get. Last I knew they are only available in Europe.

That's what hydroforming is for
Michael Moore (Vintage Brake)
posted an article on DIY hydroforming several years ago, he built pipes for his Ducati racer

Yeah.....Michael's article on hydroforming is a great piece of info. I purchased the pump several years ago, but never got around to having a project to make pipes for.
In the short term.....I will prob just remove the baffles from these megaphones and add some small end caps. Once some of the other issues are addressed....pipes will come.

I am aware of the use of hydroforming and it's capabilities. I was not aware of Michel's article. Thanks for the info.
I will look it up and read it.

I really want to try hydroforming, but, I really want to try so many other things as well I get overwhelmed ;)
Need to just sit down, take stock and work out a plan to finish as many of the projects I have going on
The back surgery has forced me to stop doing things and is making me think about future plans (it's always 'dangerous when I start thinking ;D )

I added a new bike to the stable. While it appears to be a lightning its actually a Firebolt xb12r. This thing is simply amazing. I love it so far.

Glad someone bought that.
Been on CL for a while.
Think there were two guys listing two seperat bikes about six months ago.
Funny to see two come up near by.

I missed a 900 here not that long ago.

Just a super cool bike.

Woohoo Just won a another Complete set of CL360 high pipes. Not an outrageous price by todays standards.

Harbor Freight 3 In Pneumatic Cutoff tool.

Hard deal to pass up...FREE!!!

Bought some other items, including an 18 Gauge pneumatic Stpler/Finish Nailer ($15.00 with Coupon)

image_14268.jpg

Also an automatic drain kit for my new air compressor....

image_14001.jpg

Bought an assortment of small tools and items....out the door for under $60.

I spent an hour and a half the other day in a Sears Hardware store. Many of their pneumatic tools are China made and look to be the same er, quality as HF, but at 3-4 time the price...

So far, I have not been burned by HF.....but I stay away from the obvious low quality stuff...

While not free, I couldn't pass up this deal. Friends of ours who were living here for a couple of years moved back to Spain today and had a yard sale. I picked up their 1080p 32" TV for $120. Currently sitting in the middle of DTT HQ (my desk) but we'll see if I get tired of staring a 32" LCD in the face from only 24 inches away.

Makes the two 23" flanker panels look tiny!

Well 1080p movies sure look nice, even close up :) So I can watch movies while working late on the site, which is always nice. Sitting this close it's like a 100" TV :D
