Redbird FYI those squirrel-cage fans work kick-ass at making downdraft paint booths. ;)

Ha ha you have a rifle that will never fail but won't ever hit the same spot twice

Super common misconception with AK platform rifles. With a 14 meter zero, using the rear sight scales, using 1 for 100m, 2 for 200m, etc. You can hit out to 500m with plain iron sights. I can hit 10 for 10 at 300m. The 7.62x39 is a great round. I hear people say how bad it is, but it does 3x the damage of a 5.56. These don't fail often, but when they do it's a hard fail. Normally due to ammo, not the weapon. They are the diesel engines of the gun world.

Let me add too that if you get a cheap AK, you may not key hole every round, but you will still hit what you are going for.

Isn't that the way automatic and even Semi auto's work? If you throw enough lead down range, you'll eventually hit the target? ;)

Right on - have never shot one that would hold a cluster. Never ever jam tho. :)

The SAR is not known for its precision

That is true. Maybe the one you fired had a shot out barrel or another issue; possibly just cheap, inconsistent ammo. Try to shoot a decent one with a good barrel and something better than Wolf ammo. You might be surprised! There are so many manufacturers of weapons these days, so you could have had a lemon. Overall the platform is pretty rock solid.

Umm, apparantly I won an ebay auction a little while back. Cause a front brake caliper showd up today for the 77 project. Back the garage for some fabrication work I guess.
Yay! You're a winner. Hehehe ;) The perplexed look on your face was priceless. :-*

Just picked up this bad boy! Excited for this one... I can't keep them all unfortunately though :'( . I may have to sell one of my others if I decide to keep it... Enjoy.

Hahaha... Ironically deacon, I just got done looking at your build thread... I'm not sure what the plans are with it yet.. I'm leaning toward brat or tracker style custom.

If I get mine to look half as yours I'll be happy. ;) yours looked f*cking awesome!!

Thanks man. I haven't seen it since I sold it to see how it looks now. I know the new owner was going to change some things. Such a small place where I live so I thought I'd see it around.

Also, not sure if you found it yet, but http://forums.kz650.info/ is the place for KZ650 info, good bunch of guys too.

My first watercraft, a 2008 Zodiac Cadet 285S. Now I need an 8hp motor, preferably a Honda 4-stroke to keep it in the family. Going fishing.
