Post a pic of your latest purchase

Got my 2nd set of Craven panniers for my BMW :) The first set somehow made their way to Alabama and ended up on a pretty awesome Airhead ;) This set is staying here, or at least will once they arrive from the UK via Beachcomber's (TJ's) place. He was kind enough to take delivery when the UK based seller couldn't sort out shipping across the pond.

Just picked this up for a couple of hundred, a 1994 CR250r. Needs a top end rebuild.

Which is no big deal, we have a full-tilt to flattrack racing specs '96 CR250 sitting on the shelf plus a NIB Hot Rod crank, two spare cylinders, and a box of pistons/rings, etc. No concrete plans yet, but thinking of slamming it to go an old school route with it. Maybe do a dual-rear shock conversion with it and turn it into a replica old-time short-tracker or maybe do an old school looking cafe out of it. Street legal of course. Our CR250 puts out over 55hp and has a CRF450 tranny it for better gear spacing. Estimating we could get it on the road, street-legal at 250lbs max. Just gotta love the ol' smokers.

And cheap :) Bags were $130 for the set, including all manner of brackets. Just need to sort out shipping which will likely be every bit as much as the bags were, but still a bargain for Cravens that don't need restoration.

wonder if this is it?
Yep, them the ones.
Super cool guy, those bike would be bad ass.

Nice score Tim!! Cool cases. I bought a New Bonneville and the guy was a BMW nut who mounted Cravens on the Bonneville Black- looked great. Cases were in good shape, but very thin and relatively fragile.

I sold the bike and held onto the cases for a bit. I sold them before we moved- wish I had held onto them . . . can't keep it all ;)

Can't wait to see them on your bike!!

The earlier Cravens, like those on your Bonneville, were made almost of some sort of paper board material. Thankfully they switched to fiberglass. The Golden Arrows that I bought, and that Kiley has on his bike are quite robust. Judging by the number of repaired sets out there, they manage to make it through the odd lowside and just need some patching up.

Just bought these huuuuuge blinkers! :)

Whoa mama! Those are nice! I think they'll need a lot less work than these did. They're surprisingly robust. Way more durable than the set of Krausers I have. Now all I've got to do is get the rest of this body work up there before the snow thaws. She's gonna be a looker!

Love mine.

Can't wait to get mine on :) Going to be a classy touring bike if I do say so myself.

After a long search the last piece of the puzzle arrived to day. The building in earnest for Bonneville next year can commence. The FedEx man dropped off my Aisin AMR300 supercharger today.
