Post a pic of your latest purchase

Nice K3 Buckeye. Just needs a bit of a clean back and she will be good to go. You can still have some amazing fun on those near indestructible bikes. First model with rear shocks as well.

Finally have my own set, and a nice Estwing Sportsman hatchet.

I have that hatchet and its pretty good for camping. It only weighs about a pound and a half with the sheath.

Nice find buckeye! I'm actually bringing this home from my pops place on Thursday(Florida to Indiana). It's loaded and ready haha

Happy new year dtt. Here's my latest haul, thanks to Dock. It filled my truck (inside and out) and a trailer too. Had to drive 4 hrs to get it, now what to do with it all?

I allmost forgot this one:Classic racing motorcycles from 1920-1990 by Mick Duckworth with photos ans spec`s of a lot of mean motorcycles for its era.

Sick Mini Trail Im old too ;) I picked up this Xr600R Today with paper work and plate just needs a good going thru!

My son and I have plated XR600R's. His is an '88 and mine is a '95. Incredible bikes. Nothing like doing the ton on a rough, sandy, gravel fire road....and then plonking along in 1st on a tight single track.

^ here's what I use to accomplish the same ;)

Well, that's nice, but I like good old air-cooled Honda technology. The old XR's were good enough to win Baja for what, 10-12yrs in a row? Good enough for me.

Besides, both ours together were a very affordable $1400. Add another $250 or so in parts and upgrades. SO whats that work out to.....two bikes for $1650 v 1 at what around $9000 (new).

Yup, make s me like the old iron even better. ;) ;)

Fsheweee, settle big fella . . . just sharing a picture similar interests.

The old XRs are awesome, never rode them back in the day as I rode 125 two strokes. Can't compare apples and oranges, and fwiw, I never buy anything new, especially a $9k dirtbike- silly. Pennies on the dollar, I say- my investment is not too far from yours, if you must ;)

that beemer will chew up and spit out a big XR on the single track tho 8) or anything but a dry lake, really
unless yer scott summmers

I was at a few GNCCs with Summers . . . it was a bit humiliating to be riding your hardest and hear him coming from behind to lap you within the first hour :'(

CT - I actually though of making an offer on this to ride next year at MO VD MX.

we are from the same era then 8) i was slugging it out in district 36 ama and ama national enduros in the early to late 80's,did an ISDT quali and some hare's as well
made top 20 A in district and won a national enduro overall A on a fookin canam yet ;D
more about me latr,mate

Haha, awesome. Yeah, early 90s for me, District 11 AMA Scrambles and GNCCs as well as an occasional outdoor motocross . . . good times. Paying for it now though . . .

Hell, at my age a kid on a 125 could eat me & the XR up on a single track, that's why I tend to stick to fire roads and 2-tracks. Have outrun a number of modern bikes, including even a 2010 Husky 540...but I attribute that to 45+yrs experience versus his 4-5yrs. My racing started with scrambles in the mid-60's, some short track, few enduros and CC races thrown in, too. Back then in D-14, on any given weekend, within a 100mi radius, you could pic most any kind of racing you wanted to, often having choices to 3-4 scrambles on any given Sunday. You should have seen the look on the boys face when my wife told them about my running short track with no brakes.

Buckeye....you need to find a real vintage bike.....a pre-74 twin shocker. That'll give you a work-out.
Got an '85 XR350r that is sitting around waiting for a new piston to turn up somwhere....only ran that piston for 1 year, so hard to find.

If you find yourself an '82-83 CR125, let me know, I got a couple of good old motors for them.
