So the GPS Speedo's, do you need to pay a sunscription?? or hook up a GPS unit or phone or do you just pay for the units and hope the Satalite stays available?

Nope, you buy them then they always work. No subscription.

I love them. Went out on a long ride this weekend and no hiccups, no problems at all. They have integrated shift light (programmable), high beam and turn indicators. They have 3 trip meters, a 1/4 mile timer, and of course an odometer. Simple to wire up too. They also have a dimmer knob that goes on them. They're pricey, but an awesome piece of kit.

Very nice! What did it cost you? I get widely varying quotes from the local upholsterers around here.

It was a gift from my brother to me for this build. It definitely was not cheap. I personally wouldn't cheap out on a seat, especially on longer rides, a poorly made unsupportive seat can wreck your back.

I will say some people on this board wouldn't spend as much on a bike as my bro so graciously spent on that seat. I kinda think it was over kill but I am greatly appreciative and it looks great, I can't wait to lay paint this weekend

Not overkill at all. I want a really nice seat for anything I build. I have seen way too many DIY seats with wrinkles and bad seams, lumps, odd shapes, etc. I want my projects to look as professional as possible.

where are the skis?
Bought this today. So effing excited, looked at buying different boxes many different times over the years. Very glad I waited until I could get a Snap On box like I wanted.

Very nice, duggyb! Used or new? I like that it can double as a work bench.

Used!, Was actually pretty dirty so I got it cheap($1500), somehow had tar and shit splattered all over it and no one thought it would come off. Used some chemicals I use daily at work and got it cleaned up nice! Even the drawer liners cleaned up as well!

Plus its a color they don't make anymore in the classic series so im glad I got this one. I will have to purchase the work top surface next as well. the stainless one is about $700 from Snap On

Reminds me of...me No, I'm sure of it. I hate him
Duggy, go to your local glass shop and they can cut you a nice plexiglass work top for that beast. Perfect work surface and when you scratch it all to hell it's cheap to replace.

Well with that being said; the fiberglass pan he made to fit the cowl and the foam/vynil and pleating (which he didn't charge me for) was like $450+tax.turn around time was 2days though. He does wexcellent work. Check out his website although he updates photos to his facebook every week or two.

Or search facebook for Guy's Upholstery and check out his gallery

he mainly does baggers and show bikes. I was his first cafe seat. And its comfortable as all hell, while still being rather thin.

450 that is money but that seat looks stunning and if the padding is as good as the craftsmanship well it is a choice that i can respect for sure
nice to see you are sticking with the stock bars as well i don't know why you would paint them though having some knicked up, scratched ORIGINAL chrome is supercool in my hoe

actually funny you mention using plexi I forgot I had a 4x4 sheet of 3/4 inch black HDPE(High Density Polyethelene)[puckboard] in my basement from a previous project making base plates for a cargo system. I am going to cut this bad boy up and use it for my box as its crazy strong stuff.

Thanks!
