I recently bought an FJ62 that had a battery fire take out the mass air meter and some wires hoses basically slightly melted a few things... Some searching and a few hundred bucks wha la all these: parts show up... and I should have the cheapest rust free 62 you can find.
Codeine from Boots, food from Waitrose, hollow points from firearms dealer .... I'd emptied out my shopping back onto the kitchen counter and I thought it was an interesting snapshot of life.
We don't have the amazing walmarts here in the UK where you can truly do a one stop shop!
Foxes mostly, but also cos that's all I can get at the mo at that weight in .243. You guys over there are stockpiling so much reloading stuff that very little makes it over the pond. Those hollow points are the last of a consignment. Shame as I'm using a recipe that's giving me 1/4" groups at 200 yds. It's the same with powder, spend ages working up a good load then the supply stops and have to start all over again with a different one.
What are the rules for importing small quantity supplies?
Perhaps you need only find a good US mom and pop supplier, I could put you in touch with one. Also the Hornady 6mm .243 87 gr V-MAX is very decent right out of the box for those days your reloads run dry ;D

I will find out and get back to you on that!
V-Max are very popular here. I was using 35gr V-Max heads in my .22 Hornet which were stupid accurate on a still day but easily wind driven. They dried up and I've gone to 45gr Speer which are giving good groups and buck the breeze better, however I recently had the last box of them too! We pay up to 50% more than you.
Yes, there is such a thread. I've got an old Bandit too. It's in good shape, but a little too tight for my melon. I'm not a big fan of wearing 'old' helmets as well. Every couple of years I spring for a new one and cycle the oldest over to the 'display rack'. ;D
My Toyota project is for me so I'm considering letting go of some things, need to hear it run before I get into it too deep and then I'll know what I need to go forward.

that road helmet'd be a Z100 then, used to sell those at the importers i worked at, couldn't get enough of them, they'd sell quicker than we could import them. same went for the side plates that held the visor on, they used to disappear down the road with monotonous regularity usually followed by the little gizmo that tilted the corner of the visor to stop it fogging up, sold thousands of 'em
no desire whatsoever to own it but that Simpson further up the page has my trousers tightening in a most suggestive manner
You wouldn't be to crawl on the ground and work on stuff, I need a lift for cars already. I wont sell it short if it's worth it... Already named it Poncho.
