Ha ha!

$400, 79 CX500 runs smooth and shifts nice. All it needs is a front caliper and some cleaning up. I thought it was a great deal.

It is definitely an interesting machine. This is the first I have owned and it's quite a learning curve. But there's some cool stuff going on with them for sure. I love it!

Good luck with the project, keep a project thread up to date on here and you'll get more info that you ever wanted. 350 is a great cafe bike as its a smaller lighter bike. I loved mine up until I flat tracked it around a gravel corner into a hole in the road then into the ditch :)

I picked up this, doesn't start, but for 800 seemed like a good pickup, killer condition for a 77. Seat obviously needs to go.

Check the points, clean and adjust them. I know this sounds crazy. I had a 77 and if it sat for a few days I would need to clean/adjust the points. If I didn't do this, no starting! I eventually replaced the points with an electronic ignition and no more problem. Also, consider doing the Minton mods to the bike, it really makes them handle well.

I love my KZ650. That seat is ridiculous. It will be valuable to someone.
