Looks like a throwback to my high school graduation present from my then-to-be, now-ex, in-laws in 1975...

Nice.

I'm glad I got my license when I was 16. 30yrs ago...wow im getting old. Got my permit when I turned 16, 30 days later took my test that was "Get on your motorcycle and follow me" I thought we were going somewhere to do an actual riding test. Nope ...went through town over several blocks and different turns and ended back at the court house. hmmmm... "Great job. Take this in and you can get your license"

They changed the law in Britain or I would have got motorcycle licence at 16 instead of 17. Only got 'full licence' because test fees were doubling. Been 43 yrs of 'if you don't hit it, it don't matter' ;D

over 60 bux for an air filter.......sheesh......

The old K&N in there is hard as a rock, so 14 bux for this one suits me just fine.

And added new throttle cables too, just in case mine are the cause of the stickiness.

She's gone but you kept the watch, right?
They're both gone- one, thankfully; the other, sadly.

The watch got smashed in my worst street accident. I was wicking it up on a clear road, shifted to third and noticed a car nosing out a side road. There was a steady stream of traffic in the opposite direction, so the car couldn't proceed; still, she kept coming. I shut it down, but too late, smacked her right in the rear door. Kid standing on the corner said I looked like superman, flying over the car. I landed on my shoulder, helmet took a whack, and I was rolling down the street. Tried to get up and realized I was still rolling! the watch popped off and I broke a bone in my hand. I was laying there, watching several cars run over the watch. I still have it, frozen in time, with the date of the accident...

Man that's a bummer of a story to have to tell, but glad you are still here to tell it.

More carbs. I managed to snag these two three jet slide carbs. I've been looking for a pair for quite a long time. Am I happy with I spent, no, but sometimes that's what it takes.

I have like $200 in Best Buy points and have been window shopping 4k TV's. I'd like to get one with HDR, but they are all a bit expensive yet in my opinion.

I hear that. Seems like there is new features all the time. Those jokers over at Costco had a QLED model sat right next to the one I actually bought. I was sorely tempted to throw my entire budget out of whack after seeing the side-by-side comparison.

Boat carbs?

They are intended for rotary-valve kart motors. They are probably going on my RD in the short term. I'll machine up some manifolds for them. In the long term they will end up on my homemade 200cc twin that is in the design stages currently. They are 29mm carbs. I have a similar style 26mm already. The 29's might be a tad bit too much carb for the 200, we will have to see.

There are some nice TV's these days. It's crazy how fast prices are falling.

Yeah but the kicker is to get a refresh rate worth watching it's crazy. I can't watch a 60HZ TV if there is any fast motion cause I see every damn pixel. I need a 240hz in an LED before I can like it, Still pics are usually what the show, or very slow motion video, put on a hockey game or action flick or a video game and any TV I can afford looks lit crap. Thank god I have 2 relatively new plasmas with 600Hz refresh. Sure you have to watch in a dark room and they weigh a ton but the picture when moving is crystal clear and beats everything but a $5-6000 QLED that I can't afford. I so hope that when the plasmas finally die that the good refresh rate TV's are affordable LOL.

Yeah... the Mrs wanted one of those new 240Hz ones, but we ended up with 120. Luckily I'm getting old and, for me, picture quality is all the same from 10+ feet away. ;D

I'm with you there, I couldn't tell the difference from where I sit. As long as the colors are sharp I'm good.
I don't even like 4K honestly, It's so detailed it doesn't look real anymore. Looks like I'm watching CGI when the news is on.

I think that cgi look will go away once the feeds figure out how to adjust it out. I remember feeling the same way with HD when it first came out.

Even if a screen refresh rate is high the frame rates never even come close to matching them. Frame rates are generally no higher than 60hz. The human eye is around 30hz.

The whole "I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine" deal doesn't apply in my house. I scratch the wife's back, she buys me a telescopic back scratcher.

Truth be told, it's way the hell better.
