Post a pic of your latest purchase

Bought a new track suit. Now I need to make the time to go to the track and ride.

I picked up my 69' Norton P11 Ranger from Dad today. He's the original owner, 5500 miles and I get a spare engine/trans with it. I rode this one a few times as a teenager but it's been sitting quite awhile. It doesn't need much and I'm not changing anything on it. I'll just clean it up, do some lube and adjustments, new tires, and get it running again.

Man, that's cool. I still haven't found one. Which bike do take to the track?
Last time I went I was on the RD350 but it may go on craigslist this week to get funds to buy a track bike that I won't mind dropping.

BEAUTIFUL!

Especially in BRG...

That Norton looks nice......

Of the 5 vintage bikes I have.........a total of none run.

Nice desert sled. Won't take too much work to make it really shine. I don't recall them in green though. For soem reason I think of them in red.

Hey, mate, why is there a Norton motor in your Matchbox?

And let's avoid jokes about it coming with a spare motor.....

Why have I never owned a Norton? Some unit and pre-unit Triumphs and the odd BSA Goldie, Rocket 111, etc but never a Norton. And way too many Hondas, Yamahas, the odd Kwacka and a shed load of Suzies, but never a Norton.

I almost bought a blue one a few years back, not sure if it was repainted.

Yep, Dad repainted it way back when. I'm a fan of British Racing Green. You can still see some of the original red behind the sidecover.

If your dad painted it and it's been that way for decades, I'd keep the color the way it is. I'd guess it has more sentimental value right now than as a collector item, so keep it to remind you of your dad and his passion for bikes.
