Do some work with a local customer Home Improvements and find out he's a bike is the garage since 85 covered since having it imported from Japan
I'm hoping to convince him to sell it to me.. he seems definitely interested in finding a new home for it.

I remember when I spotted the first one at the dealership in Laredo, TX. It was parked under the canopy by the service drive, I thought some guy hit a brick wall with it.
Never could get used to that styling, and it ushered in a major morphing phase for sportbikes...

Fabulous styling. Such a departure from the same old same old that bikes had been stuck with since the dawn of time. I still like old British bikes but the first big Kat was stunning and still is. Odd that it really has not aged.
I wish they were more common. I would love to own one, but I have never seen one for sale around me.
Really hope I can get an opportunity to Grab this old " Katana " from him. Certainly must be really low mileage sitting for 35 years. Will definitely need a good going over just to make it street ready once again. Gentlemen says he'd be willing to give it a good home to someone that's gonna give it some TLC . I raise my hand ! LOL

When I got my latest bike, a '67 BSA, I had no idea what it was worth. I bought it from a neighbor who also didn't know what it was worth. So, I went on a BSA Owners forum, asked there, and showed that to my neighbor. We agreed on the price the forum thought fair.
Of course, the forum didn't know we would use their suggestions so literally, but it gave us both confidence we were treating each other fairly.

That right there is pretty cool, and why when I see a person asking for a reasonable value of a bike, I always consider for a moment my opinion based on whether I was the sell, then whether I was the buyer, then more or less average it.
