Haven't posted much but I'm too stoked about this to not post it. After a 25+ year lapse I'm taking up guitar again and seeing as I have a bit more money now in my 40's than I did in my teens, I bought a 1/2 decent guitar to play with.

Got it 2nd hand with a hard case, Sperzel tuners, Gretsch Filtertron pickups and a Compton stainless bridge installed, all for the same price as a new one. She's pretty spanky. Now if I only knew how to play :)

Will post up a proper pick of the actual guitar when I have a chance but it looks like this:

Half decent? I'd say so. Love those Sperzel tuners, I put them on every guitar I own.

Strong work Tim!

Intake boots, some grommets and things to replace perished ones...

Put the intake boots on last night, night and day difference...

Good score on the shocks Pete! Pardon my ignorance, but are the older Koni's rebuildable?

And the other Pete: don't you just love seeing that SGP logo inside a package? Means good things are about to happen.....

1979 CB650. $450.00

Planning a super budget cafe, I already have clubmans, pods, a couple seats to choose from, some nice grips, mirrors etc. So honestly I don't think I'll have to BUY anything. It has some nasty homemade headlight brackets on it now, I'll fab up something a bit cleaner/less ugly. Also came with some other comstars, 2 fronts, but one has dual disc so I'll be able to use that on something.

It runs, but after you give it a rev it'll just stick at around 2 grand until you shut it off. Pretty sure it'll be pretty obvious when I pull the carbs off and take a peek... But for now, anyone have any ideas?

I can find new seals or a rebuild kit. ??? Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Pete, you could try to pm Beatnic. His shop (DEK Performance) is located in Pittsburgh. He is my "go-to" guy when it comes to suspension.

Koni's! Nice! I always wanted them... got Ikons now... haha... and yeah the original Koni's definitely rebuildable. I dare say Ikon will still have the bits to rebuild them too...

I do love that SGP logo Rich for just that reason! There should be another one arriving before too long too... one part was back ordered...
