Post a pic of your latest purchase

Nice Mike, one of the few 80's bikes that actually looks good from the factory. They are supposed to be quick and fun little bikes too.

Nice pickup Von, I have always like the look of the GPz's. Have fun.

I picked up a well used bike lift today. Its pretty dirty and needs to have the hydraulic pump fixed up, but it was fairly cheap. Should be a fun project getting it cleaned up. The seller even dropped it off at the house for me, really nice guy. My garage is pretty small and this will make space a real premium, but I couldn't pass it up.

1982 Kawasaki gpz550. Not really a purchase. Traded the XS chop for it with a super cool dtt member. Pretty rad little bike. Should be fun!

Nicely done.
I have a restored '83 750. It's my baby :)

Nice score Mike :)
Just take a wire wheel to the lift and some paint and will look new ! ;D

Hey while you are rebuilding it, figure out a way to stand it on one side and store out of the way. Make a cradle or a dolly for it.

I'm hoping I'll never need to store it out of the way...hopefully always have a project bike. :) That is a good idea though, I'll have to see what I can come up with, would certainly help to clear up some space if need be. Thanks for the suggestion.

Awesome! Take GOOD care of the tank on that bike. Not many of em left! My first bike was a gpz750 of the the same year same colors, etc. But I think most ppl here are tired me lamenting its demise in my youthful mishandling :) have fun on that bike, they are a blast.

Thanks man. I actually have zero plans to customize, trade, sell, etc. this bike. Just ride it. I have other project bikes to ruin. Haha.

Excellent plan! Imho the gpz's are as near to perfect as any bike of the 80's could be.

Traded a RD125 for this monster. It used to a pro street drag bike. Was in the process of being converted back to regular street use. Buddy got sick of it and wanted a commuter.

My lift table is probably one of the best things I ever bought for my bike .

I've never used one but have heard a lot of good things about them. I'm sure I'm going to like it.
