Ummm... so you took a perfectly good, although admittedly rather ugly, dulcimer and made it into a.... cigar-box... what? Is it tuned and played like a dulcimer or are you playing three-string guitar?

Not so recent a purchase but since the title just finally cleared... How about Fast Fred French's old AMA Cup Race Bike

Currently is still a dulcimer, only now is playable standing. Still tuned DAA, and due to using a far more rigid and smaller box (from a well enjoyed $600 bottle of scotch) the sound is less overwhelmingly bright and slightly cleaner. The original body was cheap corrugated cardboard. I will likely cut in the proper frets and restring as a traditional Delta Blues 3 string guitar though. The whole-note thing is too cheery for my tastes

Built my first lower today

Surffly, what trigger setup is that? I went with a standard lower grab bag, but yours looks a little nicer

Interesting. Never heard of a dulcimer made from cardboard. There are other tuning modes for dulcimers that can be pretty interesting; minor key tunings and the like. My four-string is usually tuned to GGGC, but I've done, and really enjoyed, some of the minor schemes as well. Mine is made out of walnut and has developed a very mellow (not bright and cheery) tone over the years. Play on! :D

This was bought as a gift to me with the sole purpose of picking up future mc purchases by my fathwr in law. Sweet. I am ding the wiring now.

Sent from my MB525 using Tapatalk 2

Curt Class III hitch. Purchased on fleabay on the 13th, arrived at my door on the 15th via Fed Ex. Unheard of delivery speed! Anyway, spent all afternoon under the van with about 4" between my face/chest and the floor of the van. Freakin' sore today. The job would've been quicker if I didn't have to watch the kids playing. My nephew still made it out into the street! Ha! Today, I hope to get the wiring done. Pretty low profile, can't complain.

FUCK YES

Picking this up today. Figured I might use it on my rigid XS project. It's a Corbin! So decent quality. Not Bates, but not $200 either.

Nice Pillion pad, just proves though......women really ARE tougher than men. Personally I can't imagine sitting on that longer than it'd take me to get back off the damned thing. My ex wouldn't bat an eye at 2-3 hours....crazy woman.

Picked this up for Barber 2012. I plan to make a pretty cool video with the footage I get.

Nice buy Cloyd. Be sure to talk to clutch48 he is planning to compile all of the video and stills he can get and out it out for our viewing pleasure.

Excellent! We'll have to hook it together with mine in my 3D housing for some 3D cafe racing.
