Picked this up today! Clutch plates are stuck (at least that's what I think) so I have to get her rolling and kick into 1st, but she runs good! Took her for a rip around the back yard and had a ton of fun. Started to tear into her after that to address the carb slide sticking open. Turned out to be some shoddy cable work that was making it stick.

Remove all that crap, pull sprocket cover and underneath you should find a 17mm nut with #4 Phillips screw.
The operating lever is tapered internally and the screw has an offset pin on inside end.
Loosen locknut and rotate screw to move operating arm up and down until pointer lines up with mark on crankcase

Boxes full of : tank surround, headlight and ears, brake master and braided SS lines, and new grips

Have had zero luck trying to find a OEM seat for my bike so I found a good shape seat pan and will be rebuilding the seat. I could probably just buy a complete seat but with current exchange rates for us Canadians it will be cheaper to build.

Good ol' Harbor Freight comes thru AGAIN!

Got me a pipe bender-

...so I can reproduce these John Player Norton fairing brackets, not available anywhere on the planet 'till a JPN owner dies, and only then, if his estate is selling and not passing it down.

412203809.jpg

Unbelievably easy, although even after filling with sand, the first one came out "squashed"...

412203812.jpg

The next two came out nice and are at the powdercoater's now

412203822.jpg

One is for me, the other will pay for the pipe bender, all the materials, and put some gas money in my pocket.

For the H1 chop. Thanks for the hook up Tuna.
