My guess is battery electrics tray, with an ignition booster and the metal is to protect from damage. puts all the haevy shit way down low to lower the CG.

Nice. I might be wrong though, wife says I am all the time so it wouldn't surprise me. ;D

it would be unfair for me to guess at what the cage is for since the cat got out of the bag and ran across the screen of my cell phone, so I will just leave you all guessing...

...but that electrical part in the cage looks to be a capasitor.....now what could that be for......???

I've got it! It's a cap for a cb radio and an am/fm cassette player frenched into the tank right? And a vibrating seat. And missile launchers...

Hey fellas thanks for the props!!!!

David, the welder I use is a Hobart 210. It's a gas MIG setup. I have a bottle of helium for stainless, 25/75 argon co2 blend for steel, and am also setup for aluminum with a proprietary spool. Great welder, I love the shit out of it.

Joe, yes sir it is a GSXR damper. It's very nice, and rebuildable. Worked great.

yeah Joe, it took a little creative engineering to get the angles and the geometry for the throw right, but it has plenty of throw. In fact is more than enough. It'll work great!
