::: PROJECT : Honda CX650 Café Racer - Made in Vietnam

The rear monoshock, yeah, the most difficult part has been done, like this:

Holes are made on the steel plates to make it looks lighter:

How it looks?

The seat with seat hump is also made:

Thank you guys for your nice words.
The bike and all the stuff are now rusted, and as it's going to be a cafe racer so that why I edited the photos a bit to look somehow retro... Sorry if you don't like it.

The progress 's still going on....

Let me make a trial to see how's riding posture should be:

Obviously the foot pegs should be lowered. And the gear and brake pedals would be pulled backward around 7-10" or so.

The guys are doing the job of making the exhausts:

They said my requests are so complicated - but hell, they can do them all...

Nice build, even like the "patina" the rust gives it!

Thank you very much. I have received some words "patina" from other forum inmates, now I already know what does it mean. ;)

Ok guys, let's continue with the customized exhaust cans.
There were two extension tubes have been added to connect from the headers to the cans, yeah, slip-on type.

Here's how the cans fit to the bike:

ha ha bet you wish you'd seen this before you had Ken start on your seat!

This is looking great, VietHorse - keep it coming.

Viet,
Those guys at that shop do some nice fabrication work. Really cool bike man.

Thank you.
I have browsed your build thread already. Really impressed with the powder coat stuff. You can make cool color.
Mine may be done before you.

Thank you Rich Ard.
My seat is removable. I don't want it to be limited to just one type of seat so I made it replaceable. Just loosen some bolts underneath and slide the seat hump out, I can have the flat base. I can put the other seat in within some minutes. The bike will have different look and of course, I can have my wife or my son back on the pillion seat.

Thanks.
They are great guys. I have done quite numbers of stuff on AutoCAD and others, even hand drawing to send them. They said that I am the most crazy client as I usually give them difficult problems. However, I can say that I am happy with what they are doing to my bike for now. Most of the things I requested, they can make it.

Very nice, I also have a CX500 that I built, cool bikes, underrated by most.
Cheers, 50gary

very cool idea and to make it simple and quick, even better.

Thanks guys.
There are two main reasons that made me design such removable seat:
- The bike can have different looks.
- I can ride with my son or my wife at the back.

;D

This is also required minimum job:
