Re-birth of MadMax.. ---- 79 Yamaha XS1100

great man, just great. youre really goin all out on this thing. is that push button start going to be functional? and please go into detail about the RFID stuff when you get to it.
 
Where's the tank coming from? Custom made job? Love the black fork sliders. Can't wait to see how it comes together.

yes the push start is gonna be Functional apply to the RFID alarm, so basically, I will have my RFID remote on me, and before I sit on the bike, it auto disarm it, and then I turn on the kill switch, and push the button start the bike. I'm not good with the electronics and few other things, so I'm having a shop to help me on this build, but I will try to get all the detail over as it goes. :)

yes, I find this guy on ebay that sell it, and at the same time, he can custom made to your spec. So I send all the measurement and made a mock up dimension of my old seat and send it to him for mock up. I will review the quality once I get it. so far, from the picture, it looks really good!
 
That tank looks amazing. Can't wait to see how it looks on the bike.

awesome. sounds a lot like what i watned to do on my bike. all the details you can would be appreciated.
 
went to the store and got some washer and bolts, got it all mounted. Looks pretty clean and it actually hold pretty strong. and gave enough clearance for the triple tree stem to come up on the bottom.

The electrical are slowly coming together, hope the RFID alarm will show up next week when the wiring are getting closer to finish. and gonna go with the Ballistic battery as well.

find out it still need one more gear to make it complete. but it's getting there!! I hope!

and here's some more close up of the converted drive. they are gonna replace the bearing in it, Hope I can catch it when it's all disassemble.

what a suprise!!! The tank show up on my birthday!!! best present to myself!!! ha haa..
it looks like a pretty good fit. the wiring is not done yet, so can't sit the tank completely flush yet. but just from the angle, it looks really good. will take a look at the quality more later tonight..

brakes being work on.. the new reservoir looks really good.
looks like the motor is having issue putting back together. still have to work on one of the transmission gear before it's all back together and into the frame! :(
Wish it could be done within the next few days, so I can start riding again!! sigh!!

That is a very cool master cylinder reservoir. Looks like a piston. Is it original?

I wish it's original, found it on ebay, bought 2 of them. I've try to go back and find more for back up. can't find it anywhere now :(
