Im not sure how to start this thread nor if my language is good enough to explain what is going on.
I decided 3 months ago that i want to rebuild a bike into a bratstyle motorcycle.
It's a kawasaki z400 ltd 1982 which was in very good condition (mechanically).
so as i have fairly low mechanical knowledge i decided to look up alot of other bikes from same brand and model and noticer most of them had the "empty triangle". so i dismounted everything on the bike, went to town with my grinder and weld.
This means that almost all original brackets and metalthingies to attach stuff is gone, which was the plan all along.
My plan was to remove the big battery, put in a small lithuum ion battery, remove the INSANLY large airbox and replace with k&n filter. well, now after some time it appears that my carbetours are constant velocity and i sort of needed that big ugly box or doom. i ave seen plenty of bikes without it so im curious if i ruined the entire bike or if there is a way to solve this`?
Do i need to change carb? can i rebuild the carb? what will happen now if i start the bike without it?
I went a little to far to fast i feel but im far from giving up, would just love some guidance on this matter.
Thanks in advance.
