Love your Saiga 12 gauge LeadFoot. Just ran into the show "Sons of Guns" on Netflix the other day. They make some badass guns at that shop.
Thanks for the compliment! My Saiga is by far my favorite rifle...nothing in the world compares to the feeling derived from a 20 round mag dump of double ought buckshot into an inanimate object. 8) The thing is seriously the BEST shotgun ever manufactured for civilian consumption.
I actually converted the rifle to pistol grip configuration from sporting shotgun configuration after I bought it...requires a bit of work but definitely worth it.
Sons of Guns is good entertainment value, but the show does little to quell the notion by many that gun owners are hillbillies...Discovery's new gun show about Gunsmoke gun shop in Colorado is much better IMO, plus the dude's daughter is SMOKIN hot!
I think its worth pointing out to those outside the U.S., who don't understand American's love of guns, that gun ownership is an integral part of our culture and history...Without them we would not have won our independence, without them taming the western frontier would not have been possible...without them America would not exist, period.
To many Americans, a gun still represents the right of an individual to defend themselves from those who would seek to harm them or rob them of rights and property, threats that still exist here today, threats that grow stronger as our economy and government continue to spiral out of control.
I did not buy one single gun with the intention of killing anyone. I love guns because the passion and respect for them has been passed on to me from my father, who learned from his father, and so on...I enjoy collecting and shooting for the same reasons I collect and fix up cars and bikes, because it is a challenge and I have an innate love of things that are loud, scary, and offensive ;D
