Well I hope you guys dig this. After running around town trying to get some last minute hardware tonight, Jordan and I got the front end put back together and the wheels on. Headlamp won't be here for another week (I ordered a 5.75" bobber style lamp) and turns, grips, levers/perches, are still on their way. But at least I got to sit on her for the first time and get a much better feel for how this will sit. I need to adjust the rear shocks because they're at the lowest setting, and there's not much clearance between the tire and the frame, plus that will help to straighten out the profile. Again, sorry for the poor lighting, but I am pretty excited to see this and it makes me want to go ride so bad!

My fat ass sitting on her:

i read through most of this thread....and there's not a single Trigun reference, what gives? Next project of mine is gonna be "Nicholas D Wolfwood."

Bike looks amazing so far... what are your plans for exhaust?

Does anyone know where he mounted like the rectifer and other stuff like that near the battery he cleaned his up really well and i would like to know.

It's mounted on the front cross brace just behind the tank between the frame and seat. There was already a threaded bolt hole there so we just used one of the 2 holes in the regulator to mount it.

I don't remember where the regulator ended up, but we just scattered the parts around wherever we could make them fit. ;D

So did he just kinda put everything near each other and mount that stuff on the mounting hole? well i have a pic on my build thread if you want to see what i mean.

He's not on here much any more, but he lives in NE and he told me he was out riding this morning, so I'd bet so.

Was that you I saw on Division this AM?

Yes that was me!

Sorry, been outta the loop lately. Moved, changed jobs, yada yada... Continued work in valve's garage this winter/spring and just got back on the road. I will snap some photos to show off the progress. She's running strong and keeping me quite happy!

To be continued...

Hello from Salem, seems like there's a few guys from the area on here.

Anyway would love to see some up to date shots of your build. I'm in the middle of a gs750 build that should be ready for summer.

Hey SausageMahoney,

Beautiful Bike my friend, you have inspired my build in a couple ways!

Quick question, What size tires front and rear are you running? I am down to what I am going to be running for rubber and am having a hard time finding a set that is stock size, I'm good with going bigger just not sure what will and won't fit. I dig the set you are running and wouldn't mind getting your source!

Thanks dude, once again, Love the bike like everyone else on here!

Justin

Matt doesn't get on here much so I'll help. It's a 90/90/18 front and 100/90/18 rear. They're Avon Roadriders and I HIGHLY recommend them for these old bikes. Great look, great wet performanc, and semi-sportbike style grip. I think most guys are running 100/90/18 front and 110/90/18 rear for a little more meat, I am on my KZ, but I'm not 100% sure on that fitment for a CL/CB.

Most motorcycle shops can get that Avon tire, or they can be had inexpensively online too.

I've noticed lately that almost all of my favorite bikes have really low profile seats, almost no hump, if any. I've always loved brats, too. These profiles are what I was going for with this seat:

Hey I know this was posted forever ago (Page 5) and Sausage isn't on here anymore, but does anyone know anything about the two bikes on the bottom right? The one with Orange in the background and the one with white. Are they DTT bikes or random internet finds?

Both of those are randoms from the internet... I am however about 95% sure they are from a shop out of Japan called "Brat Style" They are the ones who are synonymous for creating the brat style bikes we think of. The bike with the orange is a Honda GB250, a bike that we did not get here in the states. The bottom bike is an Yamaha XS650.
