So-Cal riders

You guys have any tips on trying to find a reasonably priced bike in the area? CL has been turning up mostly over priced bikes... Im pretty new to all this.
 
Fairly new to the LA area and very new to riding. Looking for some people to ride with and help me work on my bike if anyone is in the LA/Glendale area.
 
tim in glendale there isnt much,pro italia in la canada has alot of stuff going all the time,i know up here in lancaster/palmdale there are bike nights on wed and fri but i stopped going cause it was like hanging out in a soap opera.there's a cycle gear in canoga park that should be to help with folks to ride with,and as you know motorcycle people are generally more than happy to help each other out.
 
Tim, we sometimes venture off into LA and Pasedena, but we are from the Inland empire. There are the Venice vintage guys in LA but thats the west side and quite a bit away. We will give you a shout to hang out next time we are headed in your area.
 
You could check out the Facebook group Los Angeles Motorcycle Riders, mostly sport bike dudes but they ride pretty often
 
Sometimes I get pissy at california politics as a small business owner, but other times like today as it is slow at work, I was able to work on my newly acquired ride as well as clean and gawk at my other two wheel rides.

I don't use facebook anymore and I don't want to reactivate, when is it? I'm in Irvine and might be down to roll up with you guys

yes, stay away from the fb...I'd get rid of mine too if it wasn't for my damn gf wanting to tag me in shit haha

so it's 5-4-13 (Saturday) at 12p...held at Deus Ex Machina in Venice. my buddy and I were going to leave around 9am. just cruise up the coast, grab some breakfast along the way...then make it there before noon
 
Hmm, I should have enough time to work out the kinks with my carbs by then, unless something happens I'm in! Were you planning going up PCH until getting into Venice?
 
Anyone have recommendations on a shop to do some welding in Orange County? Cutting my subframe off and want to build a new one since I'm planning to monoshock my cb900 ss.

handle it! we'd love for more people to meet up. definitely PCH for the majority...but also heading into palos verdes along the way for a little peninsula riding

They're actually down the street from my work. Wondered about them since most of their fab work shows as being off road trucks/cars.
I'll have to stop by there and chat them up about my project.

yeah, they are really cool guys. professional work. it's one of those "if you can dream it, we can build it" types of places
 
Dang, I was planning on going too, as I've been wanting to ride up to the 'bu from OC (where I was meeting a couple people). Then I remembered I have my son's Bday party that Sunday. Drats... next time!
