Cross drilling gives you no added brake performance 9less surface area), it does look better though.

I caught this snippet and thought it was a more complete explaination:SpottheDogg said:Cross drilling gives you no added brake performance 9less surface area), it does look better though.
well I went over my manual. It said do to my symptoms it can be one of three things ,bad timing , clutch related, or my carbs main jet. So I decided to check the most obvious first I checked and took apart my carbs and sure enough my needle jet holder was barely screwed in to my carbs , so problem solved boys. I also found some kind of governor flat head screw that stops the throttle from opening all the way. Well I backed it out to get more throttle out of it, and ohhhhhhh boy my bike rips now . I dont know if it's bad to have this screw backed out, the bike seams to like it. Any one please correct me if this is bad . Either than that the bike is running great nowstript.714 o/c said:Yes i believe my clutch is slipping . I take off on first and i need to immediately change gears cause its like i am revving and going no wear!
Any one with any info on what to do or what to look out for please feel free to chime in . In the mean time i will be checking over my manual . Cheers
if i backed it out to far would it cause my throttle to get stuck in the open position? Ask me how i know!!!crazypj said:That's the throttle stop screw, it prevents butterflies going past full horizontal.
It should be set with carbs off bike, at full throttle
Thanks Aim! As far as my build goes i am done for now, just enjoying riding it, and tuning up minor things. Maybe a little later down the line i was thinking of some mikuni carbs, and some reverse cone commando exhaust pipes. My bike is running great without them though! So if its not broke dont fix it, you know! I will take some pictures of the battery relocation for you when i get the chance , give me a couple days Cheers.AimSmall said:Hey your bike looks great, I'm wondering what else if anything are you planning to do to it?
Would it be possible to get a picture of underneath the seat? I'm wondering how you did the battery tray and mounts for the seat. Thank you for sharing your build here!
