Squirley's Kawi H1 build thread

Ok, so progress is going... Sorry for the terrible phone pics, I will get some better ones up later. I spent most of the little time I had this weekend to mount the chambers properly and take care of loose ends on the motor. Here are some pics from last week with a buddy on it to show ride position; please ignore the fact that the front fork legs are on backwards...

Wow, that looks just awesome man! But i do have one question, the tank and the tail flow together really well, but once you put the pad on, is there going to be enough room on there to ride it without playing ping pong with your balls on the gas tank?

Your right it is a REAAALLY tight fit in there. However, I built in an adjustable seat pan that allows the distance to expand and retract for different size riders.

Looking really good. This is one of my favorite builds on here. Are you using the Kawi 636 master cylinder or something different?

Can someone tell me where I can find some high quality silencers? I am looking for the shortest, compact can possible.
Thanks

Jens

Bugger it. I should have read to the last post. premix is correct. Good call.

Thanks for the info guys, I saw those cans over on the North American Two Strokers site and thought they looked really nice...expensive though. I'll have to give him a call.
Now for shits and giggles...

Turns out the red bolts look pretty classy. Good work, kid. I hope you youtube a kickstart before you put the cans on.

Looks great Squirley, I have a set of Walms pipes on mine as well, but not the crossovers. Thoes look killer. I was talking to Walms a while ago and he said something about putting a piece of twisted flat bar, Im assuming a 90 deg twist in the stinger at the end and that would really help to cut the noise down. At least thats what I plan to do with mine, I hate the look of the scilencers on my bike.

Cheers
Dennis

Sooooo pretty! I know the headache you must have spent with those exhausts, just went through something similar myself, but not nearly as complicated!

How is your rear suspension? Stiff I'm guessing...I have the same shock and it is a little stiff right now for my little frame (I only weigh 140#). I am looking in to getting a softer spring, they are readily available from eibach for like $80.
