Steel City Mods vs Rockers - August 13, 2011 in Bloomfield!

650HARDTAIL, of course youre welcome man! Just look for the DTT tent and pull on up to say whats up. The more the merrier!

Welcome, 650! Yeah, man! Come join us! Gonna be a blast, and the more bikes and riders, the better!

Ok kids. Heres the deal... WE'RE ONLY 3 DAYS AWAY! This is really going to be a blast. Heres my issue though. I need a hand. Ill have a tent, the banner, a box of flyers, a folding table and some folding chairs that need set up. I dont mind setting them up at all. Ill do all of that, no problem, but I was hoping to ride in to town. So... Do any of you local city fellas have a place I can stash this stuff Thursday or Friday, and a way to get them to the show? I can load the stuff in my truck Sat, but then I cant bring a bike. If someone that lives nearby can just drop the stuff off in the AM maybe, that would be rad. Let me know.

well im definately going..and have 2 more commited...they will be on a couple rd yammys..ill be on the 350
triple....hope you guys dont mind a lil smoke....

VonYinzer, I live fairly close (I think you know approx. where I live) and you are welcome to bring the stuff here.

However, I don't know if I can get it there in the AM--I have some engagements. I also doubt that stuff will fit in my 3-series.

I have a friend that lives 2 blocks from Liberty who would probably let us stash the stuff there, and a few guys could walk it to Liberty, or if someone wants to pick the stuff up from my place and take it there in the am, that would probably work.

Thanks for the offer man. Looks like Ill just have to squeeze it all into the truck. No biggie. If I get there and set up early enough, Ill have a little time to ride around town. I just miss riding in the city. Only had one chance this year.

The show starts at Noon.

Ill have the DTT tent up by 11 at the latest. Anyone wants to swing by and say hello, Ill be there.

I'm right next to the DTT booth and Jim is on the other side, so we should be able to get everything set up pretty quickly. Really hoping for a good showing from the DTT crew!

Ya, we have a solid 36+ ft for bikes in front of our tents. I havent talked with Tom from Rock & Ride about it yet, but he has two spaces at the other end and would probobly love to have a cool bike or two parked down in his area too...

Mike - if you need to drop stuff off let me know, I can bring it down on Sat AM as I am helping them setup anyhow. Do you have my address? If not I can PM it to you.

Just getting this out there: my wife got 25 DTT shirts made from Izzo embroidery. They will be for sale (not sure on the price yet, but they sure as hell won't be $25 or anything like that).

For those of you that bought shirts from me last year, these will be the same quality. For those that didn't buy them last year........they are the best shirts you've never worn!

save one for beard... im buying one... and you can take that to the bank

I told Meg this morning that they are already selling: she is upset she only got 24 to sell (I'm snatching up the first!).

Speaking of which, she is picking them up tonight so we can figure out the price after that.

Myself and some other Carolina boys were going to cannonball up there Friday night to ride our bikes, meet some new friends and invite some people to the Rumble in a few weeks but were told by the promoter (Laura P) that we would NOT be welcome to set-up and promote another event.

I've gotta say I was really turned off by this. If any of you guys drove over 500 miles to our event on a moments notice we would roll out the red carpet, let you promote anything you want, fill you up with beer and BBQ. I mean that's what it's all about right?! Is this the beginning of the commercialization and capitalism of vintage bike events? I miss old days when it was just me and a handful of other bike dorks talking about the proper endplay of an A10 around a campfire

I sad to say that my vision of a plateful of perogies and huluski will have to wait. Maybe next year.

Chad - I'll talk to Laura. There's no reason for her to say no. I don't know if I can convince her by Saturday to let you setup but I can at least get it cleared up for next year.

And if you do decide to come up anyhow I'll make sure you get enough Perogies & huluski to last you a year. :) Good stuff too.

really sorry to hear that Chad. If Christain gets this straightened out, pm me if there's anything i can do to help you make it up. pm sent
