The Copper Bavarian (new pics)

PICS...FINALLY!!!

Man, the more I look at that thing the more I love it. Copper looks awesome. Again excellent build and great job.

Thanks for the pics

I dig it.

For a bit of a displacement increase, later r80 barrels and heads will bolt right on. If you go post '81 ( could be wrong, don't quite remember the year) they are nicasil lined and the bores are supposed to be good for 300,000 miles of something crazy like that. You could also go r100, but that would require machine work, the torque is very nice to have though.

Man that is a sick bike. Did you get the wheels powdercoated? they look great. I love that tank, my friend is looking for ideas on his BMW 65/5 and he'll love this.

Yep wheels are powder. The mufflers are out jcwhitney They don't come up when you look at exhaust. I have a link I can try and find it if you like. Joe the sf is sick idk if you rode a stock one or not but I just got my full race double dog system and tuned and it's twice as fun as stock which is saying a lot.

The other night some of the Dallas crew got together and I happened to have my camera on me, so I asked if I could shoot a few photos of the old girl.. Here are a few of the good ones...

Thanks Matt photos are sick! Just one thing Dallas FORT WORTH crew...

You see what I mean? It doesn't even enter my mind.. Like trying stop calling things "gay" around your gay coworker... I promise I'll get it.

Wow that looks great. The new pictures actually popped up on my tumblr dashboard and I knew I had seen it before.

I would love to have something like this and do some back country trail riding on all the mine roads around here.

That tank looks so much better than the /7 I'm used to - just how it curves in at the bottom.

Honestly man.. With a name like Flug... I don't know how you don't have one....

LOL, true. Maybe one day. All I can afford now are Hondas. :)

The other day there was a '77 BMW r100, all I could see that was needed was a good carb job, ran well, flew like a bat out of hell. Offered $1,800 and he turned me down. Called me 30 minutes later saying that his wife was pissed off that he didn't take it, ask for less and he'd probably give it to ya.

Oh yeah, and he was in Lake Dallas :) Super close.

In all honesty, if I had seen this Bavarian Bomber, or picked up on cafematty's site sooner, I would be the proud owner of that BMW, sadly, I got the explorer instead. I hope to correct that decision in the future.

I gotta stay on thread, sorry for the sidestep, all I gotta say is that this bike gives me a boner everytime I see it. Great work. :)
