The Norda

Now I just need to make new pins and the linkage will be done.

Made new pins to go with the new linkage. I scrapped 3 drilling the cotter pin hole. The 1.2mm drills are fragile, they worked better when I moved the mill to it's max speed of a little over 2000rpm.

I can appreciate that effort; been there, done that, too many drill bits busted! They look great. You are right; it'll look OEM but you'll have the pride of knowing "I did that." In my book that's worth a bunch.

I'm saving for big parts, tank, rims and spokes, engine rebuild, so to keep moving forward I can do things like this. I picked up an english wheel a while back so maybe next I'll start working on fenders. I have some aluminum that'll work.

Not much of an update, I managed to find all 4 of the brake cam arms NOS, and I ordered some cerakote mc 5100 today. The cerakote is supposed to be designed specifically for polished aluminum, to protect it and not yellow. So the hubs will be getting sprayed with it. I'll probably do the motor mounts once I make them look nice too.

Got the rear hub polished up. I have to clean my bench so I can spray the cerakote mc5100 on the polished bits. It's a clear specially designed to go on polished aluminum.

Right now I'm debating which tank I would prefer. The sprint tank or the mini manx from TAB classics. I'm leaning towards the mini manx because I do have the larger 43mm forks and the CB engine is bulkier than the british twins.

Slow updates, but work is progressing. Ordered the mini manx tank from TAB classics. They have a 4-6 week lead time, which is why I ordered well before I'll need it. Add in shipping time from the UK and needing to add a mount for the hold down strap I thought better to order before I'm thinking about paint.

Started working on headlight mounting. bought a cheap china mount on amazon forthe fork clamps. Made some shorter arms that put the light higher. I'll do final tweaking on height and what not once I can sit on the bike.

Got some cheap shocks to act as a place holder until I'm ready to buy good shocks. I mainly wanted to verify chain clearance and have something better than zipties to hold the swingarm up. Plus once I get spokes and rims it'll let me set the kickstand and sit on the bike to decide footpeg location.
