The Travelling Gremlen Bell! In Kentucky getting Rusty.

With Barber coming up, it may be time to hand this thing off again?

Yes. The bell has run quite a few miles on my CB750 chopper and it's time for the next ride. The bell has seen the roads from Georgia to Ohio- and it has covered nearly every inch of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. It's run out of gas in the middle of South Carolina rural country with no cell phone service or a gas station for miles. Two guys stopped, got me gas and got me on the road. The Traveling Gremlin Bell has good mojo. I think the bell was most in it's element this year at Mid-Ohio as it saw apocalyptic mud. The Traveling Gremlin Bell gets a low rider chopper through deep Ohio mud like a bogger. It will be at Barber to move to the next host.

If you want the bell to get on the track at Barber I'm the monkey on rig #74 ( 1964 BSA ). I'll take it out on Saturday but I don't want to keep it, I traveled with it early in it's journeys.

did this happen and did the bell make it into new hands?

Not totally serious. I needed to get to the pits to get the bell on the rig. That didn't happen and no one else in our party thought to do it, either. I don't know too many peeps outside of my direct group with the DTT connection, so it will take finding the right event and person to make the transition. The bell is safe and sound and logging lots of miles on a chopper, so all is not lost.

Darn, I should have grabbed it and toured it around on GoldWings for a while.

IF we can make it work, I see Irk on a fairly regular basis, and you (pid) arent far off the beaten path when i travel from Ohio to Chickamauga. Maybe we can get the bell to you that way... or maybe a usps flat rate haha

Just give a shout. I'm around most of the time, and now have three operational 'wings to pass it between. That is, I hope my '06 stays operational after the cooking I gave it going through Cades Cove Loop today. Not good to see your temp gauge go beyond H!

If you get hands on it I need to ride w/ it on the Hedgehog a bit, too!

I can mail it to someone, but I would prefer to hand it off. It was coming to Mid-Ohio, which obviously didn't happen.

I have tickets ordered for Barber (if that happens). Never been in Ace corner before, but with it free, I'll check it out. We'll be on the '06 black GoldWing with dark blue wheels. Probably leaving Sunday morning, because Judy has to work Monday.

Glad to see the Ace Corner is no longer the Ace Corner :) and is now not an upcharge. When we started it with Dime City Cycles and a few others including Ace Cafe way back, it was free and not a big deal. Then Ace Cafe turned it into a money making enterprise, kept all the money, and drove it into the ground.

Royal Enfield will do a better job with it, and I expect Bree will be returning.

If Barber really happens, let's do a swap of the bell at Barber. I have a swap space in the upper lot, so we'll be easy to find.
