Man oh man - can't wait to see this come together. Every time I see good vapor blasting work I want to go invest in the equipment and start a business here in Canada. Nobody offering it, but I tend to think it's a labor of love more than money. Lots of work to get results like that.

Transmission and crank in place without any hassles, although this little mainshaft seal had me scratching my head ???
It came in my seal kit soft and pliable , where as the original one was wrapped around a steel plug, so i smeared some threebond on the original ant put it back in :-\
Iv'e hit a snag, I am missing one of the crankcase bolts one of the six long ones that run along the crankshaft.
I had the two halves together with threebond and have put all the case bolts in and nipped them without torquing them do you think until I find another bolt to replace the missing one i should split the cases and wipe off the threebond until I can put the cases together and torque them all properly?
So where was I ? , don't ask where have I been its a long story !
But back to the bike I remember saying earlier in the piece that the brakes were going to be a hassle after removing the pivot point off of the frame and after sitting on the bike over and over when I could get in the shed I decided the rear sets I had we're too far back , so a quick purchase later from fleabay and I've got a set more in keeping to this styling and while thinking about how to mount them I thought I may as well incorporate the pivot point in the rear set mounting bracket , the pics show it in its early stages with a piece welded on for support in the pivoting area a brass sleeve has been inserted and the whole shebang roughly mounted to see if it all works
This is the support that was welded on and a brass sleeve inserted to limit wear of course the other side of the mount , I've used an old brake pivot from a gsxr 1100 and then cut up an old gixxer brak pedal so I now have adjustment at the drum , here at this point and in the grim joints that will operate the lever
I preferred this method to the usual bent rod system that I wasn't that keen on, I will now clean and polish the lot and put some speed holes in for looks, I will post some pics of the finished product asap, i'm thinking a stepped hole in the middle of the mount might look quite good, I love drilling holes
