Well folks, its getting dangerously close to the the end of the line for properly planning this years DTT Summer GTG.
The original plan was to invade WV again, but after considering the MASSIVE number of people who have shown interest in coming, that doesnt look like it will work. The previous site just cant really handle that many folks, and to be honest, its not really fair to Troy to expect him to host all of us by himself anyway.
Last year, even with the somewhat small group, it was a huge amount of work for Troy and his family to put the GTG togther. With dozens more people, it would simply be overwhelming.
Ok, now that thats out of the way...
WHAT NOW!?
Well, Ive been in touch with a few campsites that look like they would be accomidating. The first is Nelsons Ledges in Ohio. They let the LowBrow guys take over last summer, so I cant imagine they would have a problem with us. Im waiting for a responce from them.
Ive also contacted this campsite, as Ive heard really great things about them: Steel Steeds MC campground (http://www.steelsteedscamp.com/).
Right now from you guys and gals, the biggest thing we need is a pretty good idea of WHO is actually coming this year and when would be best for everyone. Please remember though, that accomidating everyone is impossible, so dont get all pissed off with me if I schedule something and its not exactly when you wanted. Ill try to make everyone happy, but we all know that cant happen.
Theres no reason though, that we cant make this a really great time for everyone involved. Ill just need help from the rest of you to ensure that it goes smoothly.
Hopefully Ill hear back from some places soon, and I have a few more to talk to as well.
Thanks for looking, and if you have any thoughts on a place to meet up, or whatnot lets hear them here. Also, if you plan on being there, PLEASE post it here so I can get a close head count.
Once we know how many folks are coming, it will be 1000x easier to finalize everything. Thanks again!
