Drew,

Are you in a band? I see some PA equipment in there.

Hey DOHC,

Not me but my manager is a drummer in an amateur retro-rock band. They practice 1 or 2 evenings a week in my shop space. They do local parties for friends and the odd bar gig. :D So far, no complaints from the neighbours. 8)

I'm a drummer myself, but no musician... if you know what I mean. ;)

Well, it's been a couple of months since we last chatted. ;)

The bike is back together and running!! Yea!! ;D I'm actually seriously happy about that. ;D Just a few details to handle (pods, number plate, new handle bars, etc.) and some fine tuning as soon as the Spring weather reaches Ontario. :D

You can see the pipe mounted and ready to roll. I'm finally satisfied with what we have here! We're nearly there!! 8)

Here's both Team Green trackbikes at the shop:

I'm pretty happy where we're at today! 8)

One of my very favorite threads. The bike looks great in fact your pic there is my now my pc desktop wallpaper. Do you mount a camera on you or the bike when you ride track?

Hey thanks Brother! :D I appreciate the support! :)

I have taken a fair amount of video but I'm not much of a editor. ;) It's all pretty rough and I need to find a better solution to smooth out the video taken from the bike. I think I have a tentative answer so we'll see once the good weather arrives. ;)

Here's a clip from a couple of years ago. Taken on the "Mongrel", h2 Triple at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (formerly Mosport Park). It was just a lunch time break at the vintage race weekend. We an an opportunity for 20 bucks each to 'Try the Track' for a couple of laps at a relaxed pace. There were vintage race guys riding with us to 'keep things reasonable'. You'll see the guy wearing the vest at the beginning of the clip. He wouldn't let me by to keep up with the lead group. I was totally frustrated as he just cruised around at a slow pace on the straights. What I didn't appreciate was, he was letting the lead group get a big lead and when he let me by, I had 2 laps as fast as I wanted to go and I caught up to the lead pack in about 1.5 laps!! It was the best 7 minutes of my summer! Haha!

Certain bikes "do it" for me.

This is one of them; it's just "right". I have no other way to explain it.

Thanks GP!! I know what you mean. I see bikes all over this forum that just 'do it' for me too. I'm inspired daily by the skill and crafmanship. What a hobby we have, eh? ;) ;D

;D ;D

What worries me is that huge sink hole on the inside of the left turn after the guy sitting along the wall. Would swallow a whole bike!!! Yikes!

That's the inside of turn 2. It's an of camber left. That divot would be the least of you worries. I've never seen anyone go off on the inside. You'd REALLY hafta screw up to end up there. MANY go running wide on the outside though. That's why they have the huge paved run-off area there. :D

Hey Guys! :)

With the arrival of reasonable weather we finally got to some fine tuning. :D

We added K&N filters, drilled out the main jets and played with the needles. Voila!! It runs clean and strong right up to red line! 8) Whoo hoo!! Bring on the track days! ;D

Well, no video yet...

;)

I've got a few new pics though. :D

That's it for now. 8)

Thanks boys! ;)

I'm missing the first Track Day of the season this weekend. :-\ It's my wedding anniversary on Saturday and Mrs. Drewski and I are leaving for a week of holidays on Sunday. Kind of a good-news/bad-news weekend. ;D

Oh well. I'll just hafta find another date in June or July that works. 8)

Finally found what the problem was with the stumble at high revs. The float levels were off... fixed that and zoom, zoom! :D

Need a track day to prove it conclusively. ::)
