I would consider ivory and crimson. A very classic 30s combo. Dark green with the ivory would also look classy.

Thanks for the input on paint. It gives me some good ideas to think about. I'll try to sketch up some concepts and post them later.

Working out some details. I didn't like the brake adapter I originally made so I made a different one. Aluminum rather than steel. First pic is the old one, I never took a close up so this zoomed in from a bigger photo.

Working on mirrors. I decided to use the stock mounts but make brackets that undermount the mirrors. Left side complete. All stainless same as the bars. It took more time to make and test the bender than it did to make the bends but now I have a nice little bender.

Now the right side. I tried to place the mirrors relative to the bars about the same. But because the connection to the bars are positioned differently the mounting brackets are quite a bit different. The mirrors clear the tank by about 1/2 inch when the steering hits the stops.

Two cap designs. The original is on the right. The new idea is on the left. I will make them all the same when I'm happy with the design. I'm thinking polished stainless. Opinions on left or right?

The left cap with that scalloped curve seem to tie in nicely with the rest of the curves around the bike

What methods do you all use to fastening exposed wiring harness bundles to handle bars? I'm talking about the ones that run from the handle bar switches to neck of the bike.

I think I may have answered my own question. My bars are stainless so welding to them is an option. Two alternatives pictured here on a scrap of mild steel the same OD as my bars with a scrap of gas line representing the electric harness. One with the strap more or less centered on the bar with an overlap. The other is only attached to the bar on one end and wrap around without a lap. I like the one without the lap best.

I'm still open to more ideas if you've got them.
