Not a big fan of hipsters, although the ones in Ottawa arnt so bad. Loves me some mopeds and scooters though. One day Ill have a ratted out scooter chopper.
The only problem I had with these guys is they needed to bathe. No hipster hate, they like what they ride and that is cool. I just wish I had ridden my bike.
My favorite thing about hipsters is, when the fad ends there will be some great small cc bike and scooters for sale cheap.
Someone called me a hipster on a forum once. All I could think of was Kramer on Seinfeld! High praise indeed. Of course, Cosmo is technically a Hipster dufus. I can think of worse names to be called. Anyway, what's the beef? Isn't the moped crowd just a modern iteration of the Mods culture from the late 50's to early 60's? I would've taken pics too, and probably talked gearhead stuff with the owners. Hey, I've initiated chats with H-D dudes (yes, it's true). Why not these guys?
easy money for your bike project: buy any and all mopeds you see, tweak them to run and sell them to the skinny pants guys. I made $200 bucks in 48 hours with an old tomas.
